Ephesus-tur fra Selcuk; hvis du kan lide at besøge Ephesus-ruinerne fra Selcuk, kan du deltage i vores daglige Efesos-tur. Du vil opdage Ephesus antikke by, Jomfru Marias hus, Artemis-templet og Sirince Village - Udforsk den antikke by Efesos - Oplev Artemis-templet, et af de syv vidundere i den antikke verden - Nyd frokost på en lokal restaurant - Besøg Jomfru Marias hus - Forkæl dig selv med en vinsmagning i Sirince

House of Virgin Maryis det sted, hvor Mary muligvis har tilbragt sine sidste dage. Faktisk kan hun være kommet i området sammen med Saint John. Dette sted blev officielt erklæret en helligdom for den romersk-katolske kirke i 1986, og siden da er det blevet et populært sted for pilgrimsrejse. Pave Paul VI besøgte helligdom i 1967. Besøget i huset (kirken) tager cirka 45 minutter og efter vores besøg; der vil være 5 minutters kørsel til Efesos.
Efesos er et usædvanligt vidnesbyrd om de kulturelle traditioner i de hellenistiske, romerske kejserlige og tidlige kristne perioder. Ephesus er et vigtigt sted for kristendommen; at være en af de syv Åbenbaringskirker. Apostlen Paul tilbragte sandsynligvis to og et halvt år i Efesus under sin tredje missionærrejse. Om to timer vil du udforske byen ved at gå på marmorgaderne, ledsaget af vores engelsktalende rejseguide. I vores tur vil vi se Odeon, State Agora, Prytaneion, Memmius Monument, Domatian Temple, Hercules Gate, Curetes Street, Hadrian Temple, Latriens. Besøgene i Private House (såkaldt bordel, 'Terrace Houses') er et valgfrit besøg for en ekstra 25 ₺ / person, og din guide skal informeres inden hånden. Efter terrassehuse fortsætter vi med vores udforskning med Celsus Library, Marble Road, Commercial Agora, Great Theather, Arcadiane (Harbour Road).
Vi fortsætter med besøget i Templet af Artemis; som er et af de 'syv vidundere' fra antikken. Her vil der være en god chance for at optage fotos af Kirke af St.Johnand-moskeen af İsa Bey fra den bedste vinkel også.
Sirince er en gammel landsby 'Rum' (byzantinske grækere) beliggende på bakkerne i Selcuk og 7 km fra Efesos. Som en del af fredsaftalen efter den tyrkiske national krig (1919-1922) blev der aftalt en formel udveksling af tyrkiske og grækere, og Sirince er beboet af tyrkisk nu. Landsbyen er populær for smukke traditionelle huse og vinproduktion med frugtsmag; og du har en gratis tid til en vinsmagning.

Our guide was fantastic, very good-natured and did a great job managing the group which was diverse with some young children and older people so we didn’t move very fast. We would have enjoyed more time in Ephesus which was the main reason we came to the area. We did add the Terrace houses (paying additional 15€ each onsite when asked if anyone wanted to stop there - it’s inside the ancient city) though nobody else in the tour did this. We thought it was super interesting to see what an actual Roman house and village looked like. But had to zoom through it since timing so tight and this took even more time away from the short duration to see Ephesus ruins.

What a beautiful trip with lots of explanations about Ephesus and Sirinze by our guide Hüray and driver Ali who drove us through a beautiful landscape. Booked through Get Your Guide with this company. Excellent day trip. Gulay, our guide, was extremely informative and spoke excellent English. The tour gave us plenty of time at each of the sites, and also included a very tasty, filling lunch. The bus was clean and spacious. We particularly enjoyed that this was a small group experience as it was also very nice to get to meet the other passengers from a wide variety of countries. Ephesus itself was incredible, such an interesting and enjoyable place to visit. I would advise visitors to wear sensible shoes as the marble sloping walkways are very slippery. The village of Sirence was also very pretty and we enjoyed visiting here as part of the trip. Overall, we felt the trip was well organised and good value for money.
Pick up and drop off to my hotel door were seamless. Our guide Nizam (sp?) was amazing. So nice and knowledgeable. He made everyone feel comfortable and made us laugh the whole day. I’m especially grateful for his timing of the day. He kept us ahead of cruise ship groups and out of the sun at the hottest times of day.

It was a great tour to see everything in one day. I wish there was no shopping stops. Nixam is funny and great guide to keep you engaged.
