Malerisk Borjomi En vej gennem en fantastisk smuk kløft fører dig til Borjomi: du vil gå rundt i byens centrum, besøge en park, hvor kejser Nicholas II og hans familie hviler hvert år, se et monument til Prometheus og en smuk vandfald og også klatre i kablet bil til platået, hvorfra de åbner en fantastisk udsigt over omgivelserne. Vi taler selvfølgelig om det berømte ”mineralvand”, der udvindes i dalen med samme navn beliggende på Borjomi-Kharagauli nationalpark. Jeg vil fortælle dig om grundlæggelsen af Rabat, dens navn og forklare Akhaltsikhe's betydning i Georgiens historie.
Cave Vardzia Det gamle Vardzia-kompleks er ikke kun skåret ind i klippelokalerne. Denne hule fæstning er et kloster bygget ikke langt fra Tbilisi i det 12. århundrede. Den ekstraordinære by har 13 niveauer og mere end 500 værelser: kirker, kapeller, boligceller, pantries, bade, refektorier, skattekammer, biblioteker. Værelserne går 50 meter i dybde og stiger til en højde på otte etager, derudover bevares hemmelige passager, der forbundne lokalerne, resterne af vandforsyningen og kunstvandingssystemet. We had a wonderful trip today to Borjomi, Rabati Castle, and the Vardzia Caves. It was such an enjoyable experience where we learned a lot about the history of Georgia, thanks to our amazing guide Katy, who was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. At the beginning of the trip,he guide told us that she would consider us as her children and herself as the mother of the day — I thought she was joking, but by the end of the journey, I truly felt it was true! Well organized. Your tour guide was well informed and communicated well - would’ve have been better if they separated the groups based language - the constant switch between English and Russian meant some things were missed in the moment. Lots more driving than sightseeing but it’s understandable given the distance from Tbilisi.
