Området, der adskiller Lecce fra havet, beviser skønheden i Salentos landskab og bevarer stadig sporene af den vigtige rolle, som dette område spillede i historien. Når vi kører ud fra Lecce mod sydøst gennem sekundære veje, når vi den befæstede landsby Acaya, et Messapic-sted, hvor du vil beundre det majestætiske middelalderborg, landsbyens mure og dens gamle byplan, der stadig er bevaret. Derefter vil vi bevæge os mod WWF naturparken "Le Cesine", som gemmer på mange smukke planter og vandfugle. Så vi vil forfriske med en dejlig svømmetur i Torre Specchia, og vi cykler tilbage til Lecce og krydser et landskab fyldt med oliventræer og små landsbyer

Vi kommer forbi middelalderbyen Acaya, hvor vi ser på slottet og dets forsvarsmur. Vi stopper på hovedtorvet for en "Caffé leccese" (kaffe med is og mandelsirup) pause.
Vi cykler gennem dette velbevarede naturreservat - hvor du vil blive beruset af duften af eukalyptus og andre autoktone planter/træer.
Hvis vejret er godt, stopper vi her for en svømmepause, for at genoprette i de varmeste timer og spise den sandwich, som vi normalt køber i Acaya.
Tilbage på sporet gennem nogle små landsbyer som Vanze og Strudà, hvor vi kan tage en pause. Når vi kører gennem nogle landeveje, ser vi oliventræer, der er genkendelige for deres størrelse og for træstammerne, ægte kunstværker lavet af naturen. Vi går tilbage til Lecce gennem sidegader mellem kampagnerne.

We were in Salento with friends in May 2025 and booked the tour Lecce-Otranto-Gallipoli-Lecce with Salento Bici Tour. 1 week of great weather, beautiful landscapes, good hotels and good atmosphere among the international participants. The booking, the communication, the electric bikes, the shuttle to Brindisi airport, everything perfect. We can recommend Salento Bici Tour!

She had interesting information to share about the area, kept a pace that was easy to follow and made sure we had adequate stops for breaks and refreshments. I highly recommend this tour.
when you meet special people by accident! I would call the experience with Carlo and his collaborators this. People passionate about their work, their land and meeting others. We agreed before our arrival in Puglia various trips and experiences (bicycles, kayaks, aperitifs, sailing, beach, etc.) because we were a large group with lively kids! Carlo's team satisfied us fully, giving a special flavor to this trip, like the figs tasted along the rides! If lying in the sun is not enough... I absolutely recommend it!
Beautiful experience. Carlo professional and very nice and his assistants really always ready to meet every need or whim of us customers. The places are great. We particularly enjoyed ride around Leuca. Tours also suitable for children. Highly recommended!
We did the tour with Giulia. It was just fantastic! A mix of culture, landscape and sympathy. Giulia accompanied us and presented your country step by step with real enthusiasm and enthusiasm in all facets. History, botany, gastronomy: a pleasant "full immersion" in the Salento region. I did the self guided tour. Good bike,well prepared and GPS worked really good. A nice route through Lecce city, the small vilages south of Lecce, the olive groves and to the see. Although, the olive groves are what is left of it, this because all the olive trees are dead caused by the bacteria.

Preparation, correctness and beauty of the places. We were able to reach the nature reserve along roads away from traffic and surrounded by nature. The visit was very nice with trained guides and refreshment attentive to my Food needs.
It was a perfect day to bike. Our inspiring guide Melo appeared to be an expert in nature and food. After a long ride in the suburbs of Lecce and the Cesine parc , we enjoyed a fantastic Picnic on the beach where Melo , chef in natural food, served us local dishes and great stories.
Cube woman bike and Scott.man bike. Scott was brand new. Both excellent quality, also for off road. We went to San Foca, some parts off road. Very nice lady giving advice. I would go there again.
