We booked a wine tasting workshop at Le Pied à Terre for a friend's EVJF and it was a great activity! Felix, who led the workshop, made this experience very interesting and very rewarding. We were also able to make and leave with our own cuvée, an excellent souvenir for this bachelorette party. The owner of the shop is also very friendly. If you are looking for an activity to do around wine tasting in Bordeaux, do not hesitate!
It was absolutely wonderful! I recommend as to do list while in Bordeaux. Atmosphere , teacher, wine was wonderful! I will do it again! Many merci again!
Such a fun and unique experience! As wine lovers, we learned a great deal about the various types of wine and the uniqueness of Bordeaux.
Highly recommended! Great opportunity to learn about this aspect of wine culture, especially coming from the US where wines are typically single varietals. Blending wasn't covered in any other wine tours or tastings we took in the two weeks we were in France. We took this tour near the end of our trip to France, and it was a good opportunity to review all of the information we learned about wine making and culture. Our host was very informative and English is his native language. We enjoyed meeting our fellow travelers, too.
It was an amazing experience. We learned a lot, had tons of fun tasting and creating our own bottle. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Bordeaux and would highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting. The fact that now I get to bring home a bottle of "my own" wine is something I will always remember. Thank you for everything, it was amazing!
Wonderful experience for novices and experienced people alike. Fun environment with great education and conversation. Would recommend highly.
This was such a fun and memorable experience! It began with a guided tasting of Bordeaux wines, paired with an engaging overview of the region’s history, winemaking traditions, and tasting techniques. Our host, James, was welcoming, knowledgeable, and full of great stories that made the experience both educational and entertaining. We had a wonderful time getting to know our fellow wine lovers and blending our own creations. The highlight was bottling, labeling, and naming our personalized cuvée — a unique and special keepsake to bring home from Bordeaux!
James was excellent - very knowledgeable and informative. This activity far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!
This was a great experience. I am not a sommelier but I do love wine. This was a great experience. James was very knowledgeable about the wines of Bordeaux (and MORE). The make your own cuvee was definitely something worth doing once. It was great to see how the blending completely changes the wine. It was also interesting knowing which regions I would enjoy more based on my cuvee blend. Great Job!
Thank you immensely for your plebiscite!! We are delighted that you enjoyed your experience.
This experience was not what was advertised. The title of the experience was making your own cuvée of wine. No cuvée was made. This was actually just a wine tasting with a lecture about Bordeaux wine making.
Hello Michelle, I am ever so sorry, I got it completly wrong when I looked at my tasting agenda on that day. Again, all my appologies for the mix up. Kind regards
