I had an amazing experience visiting Lake Manyara today thanks to our guide, Omary. He was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in a clear and interesting way. You could really feel his passion for the place and for wildlife. Omary was also very friendly and fun, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. He made sure I felt comfortable the entire time and was always attentive, answering all my questions with patience. Thanks to him, I learned a lot and was able to appreciate the beauty of Lake Manyara even more. I truly recommend Omary as a guide to anyone visiting the area. His professionalism, kindness, and great sense of humor made this tour unforgettable. Thank you, Omary, for such a wonderful day!
Fantastic experience! Saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, impalas, dikdik, hippos, babboons, monkeys, buffalo, python, monitor lizard, and our wonderful guide Erick didn't stop until we saw lions too. Definitely recommend this tour.
Trip was nice, but this is NOT private tour. It's a little chaotic as the driver also didnt seem to know we had booked the walking tour as well, and had to confirm with someone else.
The safari itself was really nice! We explore the park and see quite a lot of animals. But still we encounter some relevant problems. Firstly once at the entrance, we had a problem with the payment of the agency to the park, and we spent almost two hours waiting outside, after the solution of it, I asked for some clarification, and at Whom to ask for a partial refund for the time spent outside, but they answer me rudely and in a bad way, everyone explaining that wasnt their fault and that the time was enough (but still, not what I have paid for….) In addition, in the way back to arusha, it became dark (since we stay till late in the park), and the guide was driving crazy and speeding way too much. We asked him multiple times to go slower. Finally the guide itself wasnt proactive and didn’t explain us a lot of things as I was expecting.
I had a wonderful experience and such surreal feeling in experiencing nature in its truest essence. My guide was informative!
The safari was nice but the experience was impacted by the lack of organisation of the company. We woke up at 6am because the pick up time was scheduled for 6:30am just for the driver to leave us in another hotel where we waited for 1 hour. Same for the return trip. We changed drivers at least 5 times during the day, never knowing when exactly we would arrive. Definitly recommend the safari experience but not with this company - we were expecting a better service for the price we payed.
We were doing a trip to Tanzania and Kenya following the migration. We reached two days early in Arusha and on the 2nd day of our arrival we went to Lake Manyara National Park for some feeling of the game drives and birds of Africa and some wild animals. Our driver cum guide for the drive was Peter, who was a wonderful spotter and was quite knowledgeable. For the whole day he accompanied us and took extreme pains to show us the animals and birds for which we had come to visit. Because of unseasonal rains, Lake Manyara was full to the brim and the flamingoes were not to be seen. Blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, elephants, impala, warthog, zebra, hog deer and bush buck graced the occasion with Hamerkop, Red billed hornbill, silver streaked hornbill, ibis, oxpeckers, shrike, woodpeckers, yellow vented bulbul and many more. The trip was wonderful and Peter was such a great guide that made our journey with packed lunch memorable. The picnic spot views was really great and time spent was worth it. We forgot our shades in the car and next morning Peter came back to our hotel to return our shades a great gesture from him.
Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable The elephants were the best!! Lunch was great.would recommend the tour to all.
Just want to leave a review of how great Omari our guide was on our trip to Lake Manyara! He made us feel right at home straight from the moment he met us and really went above and beyond to make this an enjoyable first safari as a couple! Thanks to Omari and the Travel Africa Safari Agency - will recommend!
I joined a Travel Africa tour for just one day, visiting Lake Manyara National Park. We had a fantastic guide -- not just highly knowledgeable, but also very funny and entertaining. I highly recomend visiting Lake Manyara because it is very different from Serengeti and Ngorongoro (it is lushly forested). And Travel Africa's excellent guide made it a great experience for me.
