The ride is exhausting! Keep that in mind. Are 8km (rise + descent) at an altitude of 4.000mts. You have the option of riding a horse so it can't stand it. You have to leave well early from Cusco (type 3-4 in the morning) to avoid the hordes of tourists. Amazing experience with breathtaking views. Jose and driver were very professional and we felt safe with them! Definitely would recommend this hike! It is a bit challenging but worth it! There are horses along the way that you can take for the hike up which made for a great experience. Dress in layers and bring your hiking sticks.
