Vi starter vores dag i det kun til fodgængere kendte Corona Plaza, kvarterets travle mødested, og kommer forbi et familiedrevet mexicansk bageri, hvor vi deltager i weekendritualet med at udvælge søde morgenmadspakker og ruller fra store skuffer, der er sat ud til kunderne. Derfra fortsætter vi til et out-of-the-way sted, hvor vi vil sidde ned med nabofamilier for at nyde en fyldig mexicansk stil brunch af pit-roasted goat.

Madturen i Queens fortsætter langs Roosevelt Avenue, som i weekenderne er linet med gadebutikker fra hele Latinamerika. For at tilfredsstille vores søde tand, vil vi falde ind i et argentinsk hjørne bageri for nogle traditionelle delikatesser og gøre et stop for en "cholado", en hybrid frosset desserter og frugt salat også kendt som den colombianske snekon.

A delicious and unique way to experience NYC
Sierra was an incredible guide, so knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging! We learned so much about New York while tasting so many delicious and interesting flavors along the way. It was such a fun way to explore a part of the city we hadn’t experienced before and to learn about the people, cultures, and communities that make the neighborhood so special through its food.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a different and more meaningful way to experience New York. It was absolutely worth it and such a fascinating cultural experience. We loved it so much that I’m already looking forward to trying more CB tours with Sierra in NYC!

Wonderful afternoon in Corona.
This tour was excellent. Our guide Sierra was an impressive wealth of knowledge. They knew most everyone in the neighborhood, knew the history and culture behind the cuisines, and really made the day.

Do it!!! You’ll be sooo full and happy!
Esneider was phenomenal during the Corona food tour! He knows all the best places—little holes in the wall and food trucks. Also, he is well versed in the history of the different cultures which made it feel like more than a food tour and actually a cultural excursion. 10/10 recommend 😊
