This experience exceeded our expectations! Such an amazing way to experience Venezia. Our instructor, Gino, provided so much information and was so patient! So grateful we tried this out and hope to return.

Loved hearing about history of gondola making and the efforts to restore boats. We each took turns rowing through small neighbor canals. Highly recommend doing this tour!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a fun Venice experience! We absolutely loved our Learn to Row a Gondola experience! Stefano was excellent—so patient with us, a great teacher, and he made the entire experience fun and relaxed. We loved spending the time actually learning how to row a gondola rather than just riding in one. It was hands-on, lots of fun, and definitely gave us a whole new appreciation for how much skill goes into navigating these boats through Venice. Such a unique way to experience the city and something we’ll definitely remember. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for something a little different and interactive while in Venice!

Gino was a fantastic teacher and guide! What a great way to learn some history of Venice and part of what makes it so special. Very thankful for the experience. The kids (11 and 14, loved it as well!)

We had an incredible time rowing through the Venetian canals. Our instructor was exceptionally knowledgeable about history, traditions and techniques; his passion for rowing was infectious. He was very patient with all of us, including my nine-year-old daughter who thought it was "amazing" and liked how the techniques were explained "to perfection". We have a new appreciation for the skill and heritage involved in rowing - it really was an unforgettable experience. Thank you.

We really enjoyed this as an alternative to taking a gondola ride. We learned the history of the gondola, were able to ask questions we had about the city, and each had the opportunity to row the gondola ourselves. It was quite relaxing.

Instructors are patient and kind. Always ready to help during your turn at rowing. We realized how difficult but fun it could be!

Great instructor who truly loves what he does and is invested in sharing that knowledge with others and teaching a new generation. The gondoliers make it look easy but it requires skill for sure. We truly loved our lesson and our instructor who made it fun and was patient with us. Thank you for your knowledge and showing us the art of rowing!

Learning to row in Venice turned into one of those unexpectedly magical afternoons. The lesson was meant for my two teenage granddaughters, but before long all five of us, all women, were taking turns at the oars, laughing and cheering each other on. A group of university friends had bought a traditional long boat together and now spend their days teaching others how to row standing up. They were warm, patient, and wonderfully knowledgeable — the kind of instructors who make you feel capable from the moment you step aboard. My granddaughters started out a little hesitant, but the instructors’ easy humor and encouragement quickly melted that away. Soon they were grinning, determined, and completely in the moment. We glided through quiet, tucked away canals far from the bustle of the Grand Canal, feeling like we’d slipped into a secret side of Venice. It was peaceful, fun, and absolutely delightful. We’d book it again in a heartbeat.
