Kyudo traditionel japansk bueskydningsoplevelse i Hiroshima

Beskrivelse

Ashley is a patient and excellent teacher. The kyudo experience was relaxing and very fun. The kyudo experience is an outdoor which is apparently rare in japan. And because it's outdoors there's a sense of peace. Really enjoyed this experience and among the highlights of my trip.
It was a pleasure to teach you, and you asked some very great questions during your course. I am so glad you enjoyed it and hope you are able to potentially continue your kyudo adventures/give another form of archery a go in the future!
We originally booked this months in advance. We were really looking forward to it. Since booking, we had thought we may be able to go directly to the venue. Turns out, it’s two hours from Hiroshima station. I really feel this is false advertising. You should market this as a half day event. It will take you 4 hours travel time on the round trip and then that doesn’t even include the service. We have now been left with a waste a day to get to the experience or forfeit our money. To make matters worse, we couldn’t book in any other location, because surprise surprise - all the bookings are taken. This really left us with a bad taste. Furthermore don’t say it’s a Hiroshima experience when it’s in the middle of whoop whoop. Also just to be clear, similar to this booking we looked at Kyoto. It’s the same thing, they only specify a meeting spot but do not give you a location of the venue and also don’t say how long it will take. I feel this is not only a failure on the operators part but of Viator as well. How can you not provide those details up front for people to make informed decisions and then to be left with no option for the experience in any event. It’s not like we are a local that can come on another day. Really really poor experience!!!!! I still have no idea where the venue is and to be frank this level of piss poor information and service will likely mean I will no longer use Viator.
We’re so sorry that your experience did not match your expectations. Regardless, we greatly appreciate the feedback and will do our best to ensure this does not happen again. To address some of the issues taken: Because we are located within the general Hiroshima area we are often grouped into Hiroshima-city search results. Viator's website would benefit greatly from a clear visual map displayed at the top of the listing. However, that feature is unavailable to suppliers. In spite of this, we do our best to work within the confines of Viator's booking platform to be transparent with both our experience description and meeting point location. This includes a disclaimer within the "Meeting and Pickup" section stating that we are 1.5-2.0 hours from Hiroshima Station and a google map link to our range's exact location. However, we understand that the information can be overlooked due to the booking page layout. As is our policy with all reservations - we contacted you shortly after your initial booking to confirm your method of transportation and the nearest bus stop to our range. Typically this resolves any mistaken bookings so that we can guarantee the customers gets a prompt and full refund. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response to this inquiry. We appreciate the feedback on adjusting the event duration length, however we are unable to market this experience as a half day event because travel times are independent of experience and vary by mode of transport and starting location. Once again, we apologize for the upsetting booking experience you've had with us through Viator. We can't fix the past (or this website's layout) but you have my personal commitment to improve our communication with customers going forward. To this end, in addition to in formation already available in the "Meeting and Pickup" Section, we will add disclaimers to both the "Overview" and "What to Expect" sections. In addition we will send follow up confirmation should customers miss our preliminary contact.
We thoroughly enjoyed Kyudo archery experience. Thank you Nick for picking us up at the bus stop, explaining about Kyudo archery, instructing us on the use of the bow/arrows and shooting technique. We had alot of fun and it was worth the time to travel out of the city of Hiroshima to do the archery. We would recommend this Hiroshima experience to others who visit here. Many thanks again!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. It was a delight to teach both of you. Safe travels!
