We really enjoyed our experience. The matcha connoisseur was so pleasant, it made the experience worth while. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone coming to the region or to anyone who enjoys matcha.

This was a good, inexpensive and short experience that’s also indoors in a very comfortable café. Sojo was my guide and he was very helpful and friendly. Not only did I get a chance to grind the Matcha but also taste it. And the matcha leaves are fresh from Uji, which is the Matcha capital of Japan so you know it’s good quality stuff. Highly recommend.

Such a wonderful experience to make the matcha from scratch (almost, since i did not grow the leaves). Yuki was great in holding conversations as we worked hard at grinding, sieving and whisking.

I’ve lived in Kyoto for a long time, but I had actually never experienced the real deal when it comes to matcha. This workshop was absolutely awesome! We started by grinding the tea leaves with a stone mill, and I’d never had the chance to whisk and drink my own matcha before. It was such a genuinely experience and I learned so much. I highly recommend this tour to anyone!!
