That could be very good, but nothing is in French. The guide speaks English and German, but the French are the big forgotten ones. Yet, they pay like everyone else, so why?
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you were disappointed. However, the tour was never advertised or sold as a French-speaking excursion. The available languages are clearly stated before booking, allowing guests to make an informed choice. We fully understand that not everyone speaks English or German, but it is not possible for every excursion in Greece to be offered in every language. We do our best to accommodate as many nationalities as possible within the available resources. We hope you still enjoyed the beautiful places you visited and wish you a pleasant stay in Crete.
It’s a lovely relaxing day exploring the little villages. The oil factory was informative but very expensive if you want to buy anything. Finishing off at the lake where you can hire paddle board (for couples) for €10 for 1h. Some nice food places too.
This was an amazing day the tour guide was absolutely amazing very excited informative friendly and helpful the lake was stunning the waterfalls amazing the food delicious absolutely recommend this trip to anyone on holiday in Crete . Thank you for a wonderful day
Good guide, English and German. The ride is interesting even in bad weather, it rained here. The tour guide responded flexibly.
Beautiful lake with pedal boats, nice walk to do with family, parking nearby, bars and restaurants near the lake.
Actually, the trip was a kind of Greek coffee ride. Our guide was extremely friendly and eloquent. He told a lot of interesting things about the island. At each stop our guide recommended where to eat, drink or shop. Nevertheless, the trip was very pleasant and especially the visit to the olive oil factory was interesting. There, of course, ma can buy various products. It's worth it. I can recommend the trip.
Enjoyable day out for the family, we have twin teens. On/off the coach with multiple stops too break up the journey and get to see snipets of authentic Greece and village life. Locals were so welcoming. The host on the coach and the driver were knowledgeable and very friendly. The olive oil tour was interesting and such a lovely gift shop advicating for many local artists and artisans! Kornas itself seemed over commercialised on first arrival but actually we still really enjoyed the experience. Good choice of restaurants bars and shops. The lake itself was beautifully clean and the wildlife does not disappoint. Lots of pedalos to choose from or free swimming. Abundant with turtles and eels that hapily eat from your hands!. Take bread and go searching round the edges of the lake. Loved this day out and great value for money. Highly recommend 👌
We used Markidis in their early days. Good to go again. Journos lake with an excellent, attentive guide and Lyra playing driver. A great day out. Good value and excellent service from staff in their offices.
We had an amazing time, our tour guide Lazaros was incredibly knowledgeable and funny, he is an amazing guy doing the tour in both English and German! Took us to some beautiful rural villages where we had raki coffee and homemade cake, the olive oil factory was very interesting and very tasty. Lake Kournas is great to cool off in and the tavern at the top was a great spot for lunch and a beer! I would thoroughly recommend Markidis Travel and hope to come back and use them again some day. An all-round successful day. The hotel/hotel pickup was on time. We were warmly welcomed in German. Then all the other guests were collected. We went to the 1. Stop. There, the story was told in English and translated into German at the same time. On the trips to the 2. And 3. Stop we learned a lot about the island. Just a great day with a topp tour guide and a topp bus driver. Thank you very much
