Kona Manta Ray Snorkel Tour: Garanteret eller komme igen gratis

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS GROUP. ANY GROUP BESIDES THIS ONE. Seriously seriously seriously UNORGANIZED, UNPROFESSIONAL, LAZY!!!!!!!!! I was trying to get ahold of the “office” all day which is in Texas and they said the reason I was never responded to after trying to reach them all day was because they are 5 hours ahead of time. Devin the manager didn’t respond until 9:30pm when I thought I was doing a manta tour at 10:30pm. They then informed me that there was no space on the boat and that happens quite often that they have to rearrange people or cancel people. Just don’t do it, go somewhere that is legit, that has an office, that have people who reach out to you, and that actually care about your experience.

Majestic!! Do it…I am so glad I did! The guides, Greg, Kiara and Rory were incredible and made the experience easy and enjoyable.

Be ready to be disappointed. Although staff can’t control the manta rays, At check in I asked how likely is it that we don’t see manta rays, the young lady told me it is very rare guests don’t see them. Then after we got out of the water and started heading back to the dock, the guide asked who was leaving the following day, half the guests raised our hands, her follow up of, “lesson learned, don’t book an experience like this on your final night” was not necessary. My daughter worked her butt off to learn to swim this summer so we can snorkel and do the night manta ray experience so she was already disappointed so after she heard that comment she felt worse because we were not going to have another night to try. Additionally, the lights of the platforms might have not been working properly, I heard one of the guides tell another staff to hold the next group so she can fix the lights.

Micah and the crew were amazing. We had an awesome tour with up close and personal manta experience!!! My only wish is that I would have gone sooner in my trip so I could have done this again and again!!! Such an awe inspiring experience to be in the sea with these Giants. The cost of the tour was perfect. The time in water and time with the Mantas was magical. The length of the tour was just right! Not enough good to say about the tour and this crew.

What an unforgettable manta ray adventure! We were lucky enough to see Milky Ray, who danced beneath our light several times, it was absolutely magical. We also spotted Hawaii’s famously tricky-to-pronounce humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa, along with colorful schools of fish swimming below us. Our guide Greg did a wonderful job leading us through the dark waters off Kona, and we felt completely safe and well cared for the entire time. It was exciting, beautiful, and so much fun, truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we highly recommend! 🌊✨

The front of the boat was able to catch a brief glimpse of a manta ray, but unfortunately our family didn't get the experience we had hoped for. We were told we could rebook another trip under the satisfaction guarantee, which we really appreciated. However, the rebooking process was extremely difficult. I tried on two different days to reschedule but had a hard time getting a response. I was instructed to call the morning of the tour to check availability. After several attempts, I finally got through and was told to call back one hour before the tour. When I called again an hour before, I was then told to call after 7:00 p.m. Unfortunately, when I tried again after 7:00 p.m., I was unable to reach anyone. Our children were especially disappointed that they never had the opportunity to go back out. While we appreciated the satisfaction guarantee, the rebooking process made it nearly impossible to actually use it. I hope the communication and rebooking system can be improved so future guests are able to take advantage of the guarantee without so much difficulty.

I think this company should consider revamping their systems, especially when at the dive site. It was choppy and chaotic, and the person who was trying to swim/pull us out there was stressed, out of breath, and low key yelling at us to get the float on our feet, which was stressful for the people who were struggling. Having two people in the water would be safer overall. We only stayed at the site for about 15 minutes. I’m not sure if this was normal or not, because we did have a medical emergency during this trip, but that being said no refunds were given.

My best friend and I decided to do something we’ve never done before, and we’re glad we did. Such a cool and incredible experience, the boat captain was incredibly knowledgeable, and seeing the manta rays was breathtaking. Do this before leaving big island!
