I really enjoyed this tour. It was well organized and lasted just under 3 hours. Our guide was knowledgeable, polite, and presented the history in an objective and balanced way. I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about Sofia's communist past.
Completely worth it. Exceeds expectations. Recommended for history lovers.
A great experience, Daniel was a knowledgable guide who told a lot of good stories. We did the walking tour before and visited the Red Flat and a couple of museums - all contributed to a good understanding of Sofia. Only negative point id there were almost 30 people on both of our tours - the website sais a max of 9 people.
You get to learn things not written in books or tourist brochures. Very knowledgeable and helpful guide.
Dino was excellent. Knowledgeable and very charming.
We really appreciated our guide Nicolas, his English is very good, he knows his subject perfectly. Seeing the remaining evidence of this communist era is very interesting. It's great.
A great insight to the history of Communist Bulgaria. The guide was very knowledgable and gave personal family accounts as well, which always enhances a tour. Highly recommend!
I did this tour within 4 hours of arriving in Sofia and the information provided is super helpful! Yoan was the tour guide and he was perfectly understandable throughout the entire tour. Topics covered include communism, the decades following World War 2, architecture, people and society, international relations, and culture. I really did learn a lot, and the toilet break at the halfway point is great.
This was one of the most interesting and informative tours I have ever experienced. Vasil was extremely knowledgeable. He brought the era to life.
It was an excellent tour! Nikola was a fantastic guide. We walked through the most important monuments and buildings from the socialist period while learning about their history and how they have changed over time. It was a truly immersive experience—I didn't even realize how quickly the three hours had passed. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the city's history.
