Kauai: Filmturné i Hawaii

A fun day of driving around and seeing a lot of the island while seeing a lot of filming locations! Our guide Ray and drove Leone were incredible and hilarious. We had a great time! You have time for lunch in Hanalei at the end.

Overall good tour. Ray was a good narrator and friendly and helpful. Sandy was the driver and she did her job and was a safe driver. Would recommend we stay for lunch a bit longer. Felt rushed to get back and the area we stopped at to eat was very busy. Not sure why we couldn’t stay longer at Hanalei Ching Young Village because we arrived back to the hotel earlier than the scheduled time.

Ray and Claude were awesome. Great narration and side notes. Very entertaining and informative. On time and perfect amount of time at each stop and pointing out sites along the way.

It’s fun and a movie lovers dream. Lots of videos and beautiful scenery stops. Grace was our guide and she even talked us into singing “There Ain’t Nothing Like a Dame” from SOUTH PACIFIC. Leoni our driver was a fantastic guy with loads of local lore.

I appreciated the flexibility shown toward other participants...picking them up and dropping them off at convenient spots.

In Kauai we dod the Hollywood in Hawaii-Movies & Waterfalls excursion. Our Guide was Ray and the driver was Clude, both did a great job. They gave us a list of movies and shows that were filmed on Kauai, plus the larics to a song that we did a group sing to. This tour also included lunch at Kenji Burger, which was very tasty. This tour included many stops; Wialua Falls, Ahukini Landing, Coco Palms, Opeaka'a Falls, and Kilauea Lighthouse to name a few. The tour started in Nawiliwili headed north along the east coast of Kauai all the way to Hanalei Bay on the north shore. So beside a good Hollywood tour it is a good island tour.

Super friendly and fun, learned a few things although a bunch of the movies were before my time. Worth checking out.

This tour of the many locations of movies and shows that have been set in Kauai was excellent. Our guide Ray and our driver Sandy made it a fun, special day. Not only did we see a variety of movie sites, but Ray was a master storyteller who offered movie trivia and interesting information about the island. We also stopped at several very scenic overlooks which were memorable. You’ll enjoy this tour!

We booked a private tour for one of the days on our vacation. The company said they do not pick up from the area of the island we are staying on. I thought that was weird since we were paying for a 'private' tour and the island not big, but no problem, we're on vacation, leave your worries behind. So the instructions were to meet at a resort roughly 40 minutes from where we were staying. And that's it, never heard from them again. So here comes 9am the day of our tour and we call the office because we don't know where to park (mind you there is nowhere to park because it's a resort that we are not staying at), and to our surprise, no one was there. The company literally no showed a private tour. While they refunded it, it was very unprofessional and I could never recommend a company that is poorly managed like this.

We enjoyed the Kauai: Motion Locations Tour. It was great having a knowledgeable guide show us the various sites where different movies have been filmed in Kauai. The tour was well-organized. We were given a map of our tour and a list showing all the movies that have been filmed in Kauai as well as a big screen at the front of our mini-bus so we could watch clips from the movie showing the different locations that we were at in Kauai. Our tour guide was Andrew and our driver were Ray. Both were great and did a good job. My only complaint is were picked up at 7:15am at Waipouli Beach Resort. That was the closest pick up to where we were staying. We were staying at the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa. When I signed up on GetYourGuide, there was not a pick up at the Outrigger. The closest was the Waipouli Beach Resort. However, after we got picked up at the Waipouli, Beach Resort, our mini-bus eventually made the way to the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort and Spa. We could have been picked up at our own hotel. There was no need for us to get up so early and drive to the Waipouli Beach Resort.
