Beautiful but spoilt by malfunctioning headphones and static in the ear
What a truly amazing experience this is. To see the vastness, beauty and history of Kakadu is incredibly humbling. Many thanks to our wonderful pilot Liam for his knowledgeable and humorous commentary. The only down side was it was over way too soon. Highly recommend to anyone considering taking this tour.
Seamus was amazing, flight was amazing knowledge and descriptions of areas, traditions a fabulous experience!! A+++
Absolutely sensational! Highly recommend! Matthew was brilliant, very knowledgeable and made the day thoroughly enjoyable!
What a fantastic experience. Our pilot, Jake and his assistant Ethan were thoroughly and totally professional, well informed, and most respectful and courteous.
We did a day trip on a small plane with Kakadu Air piloted by Cian to Jabiru in Kakadu: we flew out @ 7 am on a scenic tour flying over several rivers, a fire, a mine, several aboriginal communities and the famous loops of the Adelaide River all seen from the air. This was followed by a land tour with a local Jabiru guide, Rodney who was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Included was a cruise on the East Alligator River with a local Aboriginal guide, Gleeson who shared his detailed knowledge of First Nations people's use of plants and their diet. It was a really brilliant day. I would recommend it to anyone.
Flight to Jabiru was amazing with Kakadu Air and commentary by pilot Matthew was fabulous. Our tour and lunch were great absolutely recommend
Fabulous way to see the glories of Kakadu from a different angle, especially if time is somewhat limited. Flight out to Jabiru was accompanied by a knowledgeable commentary, the pilot banking over significant areas to ensure both sides of the plane could see well. Transferred to the ground segment, again with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Although time in the gallery was a little limited because of air-control delays out of Darwin (beyond the control of operators!), we did not miss the important things - time at Ubirr, fascinating rock art, gorgeous landscapes and the cruise on the river was great. Our Aboriginal guide was friendly and kind, and took great care sharing his culture with us, including language. (Take some cash as locals also do art down at the river.) The packed lunch was fresh, cool (!) and delicious, carefully packed to minimise non-recyclables. Water and sunscreen were constantly on offer in the heat. flight home was smooth, despite the cloudbank, and we were so happy NOT to be facing 3-4 hours in a coach to get back to Darwin. Thoroughly recommend!
Had an amazing trip. Scenic flight was spectacular and our pilots very informative and accommodating. Loved the river cruise. Never thought we would see so many crocodiles. Our guide Gleeson was amazing and boy can he throw a spear. Lunch was superb. The rock art and the views were breathtaking. Definitely recommend this as a must do when you go to Darwin.
What a great review, we appreciate the time you took to leave it with us. As our Kakadu Cultural Experience is only new, every review counts. We are glad you enjoyed it so much, the team at Guluyambi Cruise are a fantastic team and are full of talent (especially spear throwing). All the best with your future travels from all of us at Kakadu Air! Kind Regards, Siana
