The guide made the history of Safed and Kabbalah come alive. He was patient and easy to understand. This was a dynamite tour. For two hours we walked around on cobblestoned narrow winding streets. He answered all my many questions and maintained an easy comfortable pace. We stopped for rests, pictures and water. He set the high water mark for a very personal educational and fun walking your. Bravo!! Five stars!! I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in Israel in general and Kabbalah specifically.
It was great experience to learn about the history Tzfat and to understand the history and background on Kabbalah
This tour is a fantastic way to learn about the history of Tzfat and its important role in Judaism. Rabbi Kopel was very knowledgeable and easy to engage with during Q&A.
Very informative tour given by friendly local Rabbi with comprehensive knowledge of Safed and Jewish ideology. Highly recommended!
This was a very enjoyable tour of the old city of Tzfat. Our guide, Rabbi Shmuel, was excellent and patient in explaining and my mother and I learned a lot about the history of Tzfat, the history of Kabbalah, and the history of Kabbalah in Tzfat. I really appreciated the Rabbi's knowledge and willingness to explain and answer all of our questions. My mother and I both left this tour with a deep appreciation for the place and the history of the place. Thank you Rabbi Shmuel!
Rabbi Kopel did an amazing job with this tour. He was very personal and down to earth and spoke to the level of knowledge of our family. He is extremely knowledgeable about the historic, spiritual, and religious aspects of the city. He did an amazing job of tying how the Kabalah in Judaism can be used in our lives. He also showed us some historically significant landmarks that are important for Judaism. I would highly recommend Rabbi Kopel if you want to learn about Tzfat, Judaism, and Kaballah.
Rabbi Kopel’s knowledge, personal warmth, encouragement of and patience with answering questions is exemplary. His students are blessed to have such a teacher.
Rabbi Shmuel gave a very comprehensive tour of Zfat and the synagogues. He also gave an excellent explanation of Kabbalah and mysticism. Would highly recommend.
What a fascinating place with a fascinating history. The Rabbi was very knowledgeable and was very engaging. It’s a big 👍
Rabbi Kopel is eloquent and quietly impassioned as he guides you through the deep history of Sfat and Kabbalah. He stops to point out the spot where Kabbalat Shabbat service was conceived, and he talks at some length about the role of the Ari (Isaac Luria) in birthing Kabbalah -- "the wine of Torah," as the Rabbi explains. He is a terrific guide, generous with his knowledge and his time. There is no sense of hurry, and ample time to talk, to sit quietly in sacred spaces, and to reflect. We came away from this tour with a deeper feeling for the mystical dimensions of Judaism, as well as some specific knowledge. The feeling is, in truth, harder to communicate -- but this Rabbi knows exactly how. A delight!
