Issyk - er en himmelblå sø på 1,5 times kørsel fra Almaty. Omgivet af storslåede bjerglandskaber er dette sted et perfekt sted at besøge på en fri dag. Den hyggelige atmosfære her får dig til at føle dig afslappet og nyde naturen. Du kan tage en sejltur på søen, gå en hyggelig tur rundt eller arrangere en picnic i en af bøjlerne. Du vil også have en chance for at besøge et vigtigt sted for en Kasakhstans historie og arkæologisk verden generelt - The Golden Man Issyk museum. Dette arkæologiske kompleks er berømt for fundet af en gylden mand - skytisk kriger klædt i en massiv guldrustning (6-5 århundrede f.Kr.) Der er en hyggelig ørredfarm cafe på vejen, hvor vi kan stoppe til en udendørs frokost.

It was a great trip and highly recommended . Our tour guide Mr. Nursultan was very helpful and informative and has shared us a lot of information and insight about all the places we went and also regarding the local culture and practices. He helped us to make the trip more intresting. Overall it was a very good journey.
Our tour guide, Ruslun and his father were excellent. They gave great background information on the sights and were very accommodating. It was a bit rainy the day of our tour and they came prepared with rain jackets and umbrellas as well. They were very professional.

Great day tour from Amalty for an introduction to Kazakhstan's natural beauty, whether you are only in Amalty for short time, or at start of a longer exploration of the country, as was my case. Great, young but knowledgeable and fluent English speaking guide!
Just stunning. There are no words to describe how beautiful this lake is. Apparently late autumn is one of the best times to see it - the autumn colours of yellow and red set against the emerald blue of the lake water. Please note for those who are have difficulty with mobility it can be difficult to access the lake. We were able to take a taxi to the lake but there are about 50-60 steps to the lakeside. Even with 2 of us helping my elderly companion did struggle (although we did manage it).
