Isle of Wight, hjemsted for en række karakteristiske landskaber, dramatiske klipper, lange fantastiske strande og fantastiske attraktioner, er en naturlig legeplads for alle aldre! I Portsmouth kan du lære om byens arv og flådehistorie. • Gå en tur gennem Godshill, en typisk engelsk landsby, med sin dejlige middelalderkirke, charmerende stråtækte hytter og traditionelle tesaloner. • Nyd udsigten på den naturskønne køretur til Alum Bay, kendt for sine mangefarvede sandklipper og betagende natur. • Nyd en panoramastolelift til den fantastiske strand (du kan også vælge at gå) og de mange spændende attraktioner her for hele familien. På stranden får du et nærbillede af "The Needles", en af de mest fotograferede grupper af klipper i verden. • Få et fantastisk billede af Portsmouths Spinnaker Tower og Historic Dockyard, når din færge sejler til og vender tilbage fra Isle of Wight.

Om morgenen kører vi gennem Portsmouth, hvor vi lærer om Storbritanniens store flådehistorie. Vi fortsætter til Isle of Wight med et 40 minutters Wightlink krydstogt med afgang fra Portsmouth kl. 11.20 og ankommer til Fishbourne kl. 12.05.
Ved ankomsten til Isle of Wight nyder vi en 20 minutters naturskøn køretur til den charmerende landsby Godshill, berømt for sine 500 år gamle stråtækte hytter, typiske tebutikker og Model Village. Vi fortsætter til Alum Bay, berømt for sit mangefarvede sand og "nålene". Du kan vælge at tage en tur med stoleliften (valgfrit ekstra gebyr) eller gå trapperne ned til den fantastiske strand. Vores 40 minutters færgerejse afgår fra Fishbourne kl. 18.20 for vores rejse tilbage til fastlandet.

The experience was good but the return journey was longer than expected. The rate was reasonable, the atmosphere was alright but with kids it was slightly loud.
Gerry was very knowledgeable and accommodating to the guests… making sure everyone had what they needed and were understanding of what to expect… as well as their options at each stop. Views and the various stops in the Isle - the views were amazing and the shared information in between stops was very insightful! Loved this tour and so glad we got to see part of Portsmouth and the Isle. If going again we would arrange to see more of Portsmouth beforehand as we like the history behind the city!
I've had a wonderful day! The crew was very nice & fun! The Isle of Wight was beautiful and the weather was just perfect!

We all enjoyed the whole tour. Very organised and friendly staff (Jeremy and Moh). Tour guide Jeremy is very good and his voice is very clear and Moh the driver driving the coach safely and smoothly. We had a lovely day out.
Tricky mixture of people/cultures in the group to manage (including 2 smokers) not quite what I expected. Guide did a good job managing but it was hard work for him. Loved visit to The Needles including chair lift, slow boat trip, ferry ride.. Could have done with quick toilet stop at Portsmouth. Concerned with my personal safety when area where trip finished in Brighton in Old Steine. No toilets so had to use one on the bus. Someone had weed on the seat & floor I didn’t see it till I sat down😣🥺not nice. Alerted bus driver
We went yesterday 28th of July 2024 It was a great tour, Thanks Nick and Andrew. Best part for me was the ferry experience and the needles. All scenic views in the isle of wight were fantastic. It was my mistake I booked my return coach to London calculating exactly 11hrs. I missed it but I could get the next one.
We saw the red arrows display amazing 👏 boat ride was very nice to see the needle's and enjoyed the chair lift down to the ⛱️
Gerry was an excellent tour guide for my wife and I. He was very knowledgeable and was very considerate with my wife (she is in a wheelchair). Peter was an excellent driver and took care of us in the road. I would highly recommend them and Discovery tours when you are needing a great excursion. The bus was very comfortable and the instruction from Gerry was perfect to keep the flow of our trip going. They will take care of all of your traveling needs.
Everything was on time and journey very relaxing. An Easter egg. Was a nice thought driver very good. Guide Andrew was very informative however one hour stop was not long enough at Godshill as no time to have lunch and see the village. Needless to say is fantastic for the views but very toristy and very expensive especially £9 for the chair
