Vores frokostmat tur inviterer gæsterne til en kulinarisk oplevelse omkring Hoi An. Det er et omhyggeligt kureret madeventyr, ledet af vores team af professionelle madguider. Før vi begynder, vores tur afspejler det lokale køkken, & begrænsningerne af gademat sælgere betyder, at vi desværre ikke kan imødekomme alle kost restriktioner. Her er en ærlig vurdering af turen, så ingen bliver skuffet: Ikke egnet til vegetariske diæter undskyld, da der ville være 3-4 færre smagsprøver. ⚡️ Uegnet til alvorlige allergier, halal og celiac diæt, på grund af risikoen for spor & krydskontamination. De fleste turister kun ridser overfladen af Hoi Ans madtraditioner; vores 15 + smagtur dykker ind i den kulinariske underliv i den gamle by og den lokale landsby Tra Que. Morgenen begynder i det travle marked, jagter mad helte engang forsvaret af Anthony Bourdain - kaste chewy bánh bot loc dumplings i en smagfuld bouillon. Dernæst stopper vi ved Mr. Ly's stald, han har været oppe siden de tidlige timer med at lave vietnamesiske "bryllupsbuketter", delikat bundtet i grønne bananblade. Fra krydderurtsalat til dampende wonton suppe, vi afslører skåle, der har fodret sultne lokale i årtier. Prøv den oprindelige cao lâu nudler, hvis ingredienser blev smedet i pestlen og morter af historien, migrerer her sammen med ambitionen af kinesiske og japanske handelsvarer.
Ud over broerne flygte vi til den nærliggende landsby Tra Que, et 400 år gammelt samfund, der trækker vejret gennem sine friske urter og grøntsagshave. Vi har sikret en eksklusiv invitation til en økologisk gård til en praktisk masterclass i den forsvundne kunst af traditionel ris-papirfremstilling. Vores værter vil sætte ild til en gård-til-fork fest, der omfatter pizzling bánh xèo pannekager og sprøde vandkræs-spredt salater, blandt mange flere overraskelser.
Tilbage i byen vil du være vidne til, at herrerne forbereder den "hvide rose" - delikate, blomstformede dumplings, der er nikkelsen til en fortid. Denne opskrift har været en familiehemmelighed i over et århundrede; selv nu, generationer af kokke trek til den 1.000 år gamle Bà Lê brønd for at hente det specifikke vand, der kræves til dejen. Hver smagning er en bid af byens DNA. Glem guidebøgerne og navigere i baggrunden med en guide, der lever til det næste store måltid, der fejrer Hoi Ans kulinariske arv.

A really engaging and fun tour! Lots of places we wouldn’t have tired or known about ourselves.
Such a cool, standout experience and variety of dishes. Thanks so much to our guide Quin; her local knowledge, passion, friendliness, & humour made the tour even more special. Amazing range of fresh local flavours, dishes, and locations that we would never have found or thought to try on our own. Having done a few Chefs Tours in different cities & countries now, Hoi An is a major highlight. Book it and arrive hungry 🤩!
We had an amazing tour guide with Quin! The food was incredible, PLENTIFUL (so stuffed), and she was a fun and knowledgeable guide! The tour included more dishes than I can remember and they were all authentic, Hoi An cuisine. There was a combination of walking as well as taking a tram ride (which we all loved for a breezy break from the heat) to visit herb and vegetable fields followed by a scenic stop on the river. I would absolutely recommend this tour and Quin as your guide! Come hungry!!!
Amazing time with our tour guide Quin. She took us outside of the main area of town to some very authentic places that you wouldn’t find on your own. Bring an empty stomach. There were many delicious courses which highlighted the unique cuisine which is specific to Hoi An. 10/10.

It was a great experience with tour guide Andy - so much insights on the local food scene and operators in Hoi An . Great hands on experience with the rice paper making and love the farm to fork lunch. Amazing experience and I would 100% recommend this tour and start with an empty stomach
We had an excellent time on our food tour with Quinn. It was a warm day but Quinn made sure we had shady spots to enjoy our food and kept us well hydrated. I particularly love that she celebrated food with history and origins in Hoi A rather than Vietnamese food that become more popular overseas. Would highly recommend, particularly as a good experience!
Having been on the “Chef’s Tour” in Penang, we trusted this Hoi An tour would be great, and we were not disappointed! Even my picky five year old enjoyed all the bites! Quin was such a fantastic guide - She explained the ins and outs of Hoi An, the history, and so many fun details about the food. We had a really wonderful time, and would certainly book again!
