Simply a must-do when visiting Victoria Falls! The experience is a great mix of action (rapids, hiking, jumps) and relaxing moments on the river and at lunch (local cuisine) to enjoy the scenery. The Try Rafting Co team are excellent - courteous, informative and lively. Particular thanks to Japhet (guide), Funwell (safety), Ngaribaye (raft driver), Stalo and Clive (raft assistants), and Fuzhini and Melody (cooks). We were well looked after.

This is the only way to see one of the most beautiful valleys ever. The way up and down is challenging but the unpaid trainees were very helpful. It is not cold or dangerous, and it is great exercise and lots of fun. I heard other guides explain about wildlife and geology. Ours just boasted about having 4 kids, when excessive births is one of the main problems in Zambia. But even with a guide like ours, the trip was absolutely wonderful: great birdwatching, dramatic gorges, and incredible views. The rafting itself is really world class, and the equipment was all of good quality.

Jar and his team were amazing and provided a wonderful experience. White water rafting, a lovely lunch and plenty of fun. Be aware that you have to hike into and out of the gorge. It is very steep and the path consists of natural rocks and some crude steps and ladders made from sticks. The team were very attentive and lent plenty of assistance to those in need. The white water rafting was well planned and there were no incidents. It was our first experience of it and we're in our 60s so appreciated the great instruction before we set off. I was thankful of my year of dragon boating post covid as it provided some paddling skills!

I left my group, thinking I would have a great day, as I have rafted multiple times in Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand and Turkey. Never have I had an experience this dangerous. It started with the safety briefing, which seemed intense, so i asked did they expect us to tip....and was told Def NO its just like an airplane crash talk...I think they knew all along and just lied about the danger. Its a long walk down, but once we started I was enjoying the huge rapids...until 16..when the guide announced we had a 50/50 chance of tipping. I was FURIOUS as I would not have gone had they told us this. Long story short, we did tip, and I could not get out from under the raft, though I tried many times and stayed calm. I was under water for around 50 seconds, confirmed by the video they took of us. I was on my last seconds of air when the raft was righted, and I gulped some air before being sucked into more rapids. I am severely traumatised by this event and hope others just avoid this dangerous place.

The excitement started with their safety overview before we trekked down to the Zambia River (an adventure in itself). Before taking off in the raft our captain went through what to expect, how to participate, and what to do if we capsize. Then we were instructed to jump in the water, getting the feeling of out and back. All impressive including having staff in kayaks accompanying. Now for the thrill!!! It was exuberant!!! Our captain gave us a rating before each rapids and there were many, 3’ 4’ and 5’s, I lost count. Yes, we almost capsized! What an experience. Yes we were able to jump out and float in the calmer water area. And a beach stop for refreshments. Try to beat this thriller!

Our group of six (age range 72-81) enjoyed two weeks in Zimbabwe and Botswana. Our trip planned by Kate and Elvis included safaris to three national parks, a village stay at Mpala Guest Farm, opportunity to volunteer at local school, river boat excursions, fishing, view of Victoria Falls from helicopter, whitewater rafting, opportunity to experience local food, culture, and music, and a little time to shop. Events were well organized and enabled us get the most out of our visit.

What an awesome adventure, the rapids were exhilarating and exciting. The guides were all great and knowledgeable. The only advise I would give is wear sports shoes as advised as the climb down to and out the gorge is extreme. We would certainly do this adventure again

My family of 6 had the best experience with the Try Rafting crew! They were incredibly experienced and super knowledgeable about the rapids and the Zambezi River. We had such a fun and exhilarating experience! They did not rush us through the day, and really personalized the experience for us. Ja the captain, Cobra in the safety kayak, and Mr. Nice Guy our cameraman/videographer were an incredible team - super fun, entertaining, full of energy, and masters of the Zambezi River rapids. This is a local and family owned business, and you will feel that personal touch when you raft with them.

It was one of the most beautiful and fun experiences of my life. The boys were magnificent, they prepared and reassured us. 100% security!!!! We had with us in our Angel Kobra, ready to retrieve them in case of need! It was great to go rafting in the river all made special by a trained and friendly staff. I would do it again 1000 times!! Overrecommended! In order to raft it was nice to enjoy our lunch in a typical way, sitting under a tree, small annotation potato salad MY MUM!!!! You can not then buy the traditional talisman yammi yammi whose story is magic. It's good for the soul and supports the local boys. If you're looking for a bit of excitement in Victoria falls, you shouldn't miss this activity! PS little advice buy the photos because it is worth having this memory. Thanks again GUYS!!!!! 🥰
