Nyd en dagstur, da vi henter fra dit hotel i Siem Reap og kører 15 km fra Siem Reap til bådhavnen i Chong Khneas. Vi går ombord på en lokal båd for en dejlig tur på Tonle Sap gennem de flydende landsbyer Chong Khneas og landsbyer på høje pæle. Denne tur tager dig til to forskellige landsbyer langs Tonle Sap-flodsletterne. Oplev Tonle Sap-søens karakteristiske flowcyklus, og hvordan dette faktum gør den til Cambodjas vigtigste økonomiske og økologiske ressource. Ved at besøge Chong Kneas flydende landsbyer og marked, Kopong Phluk med mangroveskov og Kompong Phluk er landsbyen på høje pæle, få indsigt i, hvordan landsbyboere unikt lever i harmoni i disse usædvanlige omgivelser over/på vandet. Tilbring omkring 5 til 6 timer ved søen og dens flodsletter for denne berigende kulturelle oplevelse. Denne tur inkluderer snacks, frokost, cola og koldt flaskevand.

Vi går derefter ombord på en lokal båd for en behagelig tur på Tonle Sap, der passerer gennem den flydende landsby Chong Khneas. Tonle Sap er den største sø i Sydøstasien og strækker sig over den nordvestlige del af Cambodja. Søen er økonomisk vigtig, da den tjener som hovedkilde til mange slags fisk. Den svulmer op til ti gange sin normale størrelse i den våde årstid, hvilket medfører forskellige akvatiske ressourcer. Det fungerer også som levested for flere arter af vandfugle. Chong Khneas er en flydende landsby i udkanten af Tonle Sap. Udforsk de flydende husstande, der overvejende består af vietnamesere, og som er genkendelige på grund af de farvestrålende huse. Få et glimt af det flydende landsbyliv, når vi passerer langs flydende huse, skoler, klinikker, sportshal og endda svinefarme. Vi stopper ved Gecko Environment Center, hvor du kan lære mere om økologien og den rige biodiversitet i Tonle Sap og dens omkringliggende flodsletter.
Vi fortsætter vores bådtur til fiskerlandsbyen Kompong Phluk. Huse her er bygget på pæle. Denne landsby består næsten udelukkende af Khmer-oprindelse. Landsbyboerne flytter huse afhængigt af årstiden. De bor på pæle i regntiden og flytter til små hytter tæt ved bredden i den tørre sæson. Du vil besøge pagoden, den eneste bygning i landsbyen, der ikke er bygget på pæle, og observere landsbyboere i gang med deres daglige aktiviteter. Du vil derefter overføre til en lille kano (aug-jan som valgfri) for at blive padlet af landsbyboere, for at tage dig dybt ind i den tætte mangroveskov. Mangroverne er unikt tilpasset det oversvømmede miljø og kan på imponerende vis overleve at være helt nedsænket i løbet af en del af året. Vi overfører dig tilbage til dit hotel i Siem Reap efter besøget i Kampong Phluk Village.

Overpriced. Disappointing. Dropped us at a floating cafe, caged miserable scared looking animals, baby crocs handed to people to hold, unethical, and tried to rip us off by saying you could only go around the floating village if you paid extra 20USD. We thought that was the trip we were getting! Phoned our tuktuk driver and he made our boat take us around the edge, no stilt village as mentioned, we'd recommend giving this one a miss. Many other disappointed and pissed off tourists here too, they should explain before you go that you need to pay extra if you actually want to go around the village. And no respect for animals here, just put for show. Guide included was angling for tips. Felt pretty unprofessional. Recommend going to a further away lake spot for hopefully a much better and authentic experience, as this one wasn't.
This was one of my favorite things we did in Cambodia. It felt like a sneak peak into rural life here and especially life in the fishing villages. You will stop at the floating villages and then also walk through the town (or canoe though depending on the water levels when you visit). We got to visit some of the locals home and see how they live, prepare food, and work. We also stopped in the school where the children were anxious to show off the English they are learning. Lunch at the restaurant was lovely! Thank you Nak and Sokhen for a great experience.
The trip was amazing! The views are so beautiful, fishing village is something I’ve never seen before. It’s even difficult to find words to express fillings! Special thanks to our guid Choub! He made our tour even more interesting with telling a stories about history and local traditions.

On a very hot day we had a lovely cruise on the largest freshwater lake in southeastern Asia. Although a long drive from Siem Reap, the journey was worth it. The floating village was fascinating with every conceivable facility available including Churches and restaurants.

Nak was an amazing tour guide, went above and beyond to cater to our interests and personalise our experience! My favourite was Kamplong Pluk village, the floating village where you can see the culture of the temples and schools. Highly recommend if in Siem Reap.

This was a refreshing trip to Tonle Sap Lake! It was fascinating for me to learn about the two floating villages in the area as well as the respective adaptations have to cope with the weather conditions. Highly recommended!

Our family of 4 had a highly interesting trip to two floating villages guided by Mr Van Lonh. We learnt a lot from his sharing of the villager’s way of life and the eco-system in Tonle Sap. He was teamed by the driver, Mr Vong whose MPV is spacious and clean. We were assured by his safe driving. The highlight for me was to paddle the canoe among tall mangroves in the lake. I highly recommend this trip. 👍
