Great experience. Silva, our guide, what a great guy. Super knowledgeable and passionate about Rio and its natural beauty. Great trip.
The guide was awesome. It was a very informative tour and I really enjoyed the experience. I loved seeing the anaconda.
Very beautiful nature, The guide was very cool and explained everything you need/want to know Travelling in his car is also a lot of fun
The jeep ride was fun and much better than sitting in a car or van. The stops in the jungle were great, especially the waterfall and the trail hike. The guide was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend!
It was an overall good experience, my hostel was not in the pick up area so I had to go to the garage where the car was parked and meet the guide there. We passed through the main points in the Tijuca National park, it was an okay experience, don't expect much other than see nature , forests and some views as well as a waterfall area where you could possibly swim if you want to.
The national park is worth a visit. We left the hotel very early and took the metro to Jardim Tijuca, then took the bus 301 up to the national park. You must have experienced. We thought the bus would fall apart at any moment, so we were shaken up, but we got to the top in one piece. The national park has various entrances and is available free of charge. It is wonderful to see that everything is really left natural here, and you get the impression of being in the Brazilian Amazon. The variety of plants, as well as the size of some plants just beautiful to look at. The coolness under the trees also contributes to the fact that you are very nicely sealed off in the heat. What we didn't like so much was that cars are allowed to drive around the park, even taxis have driven up to the top, not nice, for the environment. Instead, you should offer electric bikes for rent at the entrances, so that the "lazy" can also make it upstairs. There's no need to drive a car around, even the jeeps. You have feet, and with the trolleys you just drive past things that are really exciting and beautiful to look at. The falls are great, and we found all five. There are certain routes, but on the entrance notes, it is indicated to stay only on the path (red line). We really spent the whole day there, so beautiful it is there. Yes, of course the roads and paths are not the best here anymore, but it is just left natural. Even the old chapel has seen better days, like some other viewpoints, but it is nature, and should be left that way. The views (there are a lot of viewpoints) from above are spectacular because we had great solar weather so we could look far away when we reached the top. So far the park is very clean, many animals can be observed there, including snakes and really beautiful butterflies. As already mentioned, the plant life is breathtaking, as you feel like you are in the jungle. The waterfalls are nestled in fields and greenery, wonderful. Back we walked from the national park to Jardim Tijuca. In total it was about 27 km, is fun and you get much more out of it than just sitting lazily in the car. Since it is also available free of charge to the population, we were very surprised how clean it was there nevertheless, overall a very nice excursion.
A very good tour for anyone wanting to experience a bit if the rainforests but no time to travel far. This a good experience. The guide is thorough and kept everyone entertained.
Our Jeep tour through the Tijuca Forest with Silva was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, Silva was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience so much fun. He shared fascinating facts about the forest’s history, wildlife, and hidden gems, and his passion for the area really showed. The ride was smooth, the views were breathtaking, and we felt completely safe the entire time. If you’re visiting Rio and want an unforgettable adventure, I can’t recommend Silva enough — this tour was the highlight of our trip!
