Szentendre er en historisk by med stenede gader, barok arkitektur og en livlig kunst scene. Det blev etableret af forskellige folk gennem århundrederne, og blev et vigtigt center for serbiske flygtninge i det 17. århundrede, som efterlod sig en karakteristisk ortodoks arv. I dag, dens museer, gallerier og Donau-floden promenade gør det til en favorit destination for besøgende interesseret i kultur og historie.
Visegrád Slot i Ungarn er en historie elsker / naturelskers drøm. Dette stop kombinerer en imponerende citadel fra det 13. århundrede med en fantastisk udsigt over Donau, og er en fantastisk mulighed for at udforske Ungarns kongelige fortid og tage fantastiske billeder af Donau Bend. Such a wonderful experience traveling the Danube Bend with Tamás!! He was so hospitable, with lots of beverages and snacks for the road, and the ride was super comfortable. More importantly, Tamás was a WEALTH of knowledge on Hungarian history and we had a great time seeing it come alive in the different locations we went to along the Bend. He had great recommendations for our lunch spot and activities, making sure we maximized our tour time. We HIGHLY recommend doing a tour with Tamás, and wish we had had the opportunity to join him on some of his others!! One of the highlights of our trip for sure!

Tamas was our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the country’s history and told us a lot during the tour. He was very friendly and offered us choices during the tour according to our interest and time schedule. The 3 cities visited during the tour had important history in the country and views were great too. Overall, we had great time in the private tour.

The wife and I had such a great experience with Tamas today. He showed up at our hotel early for our pickup time and was waiting outside. He has sent me a message that morning so I let him know we were in the lobby about 10 mins before our scheduled pick up time and he walked right in and greeted us. He was very friendly and came prepared with drinks and snacks for the day. His van was very comfortable to ride in , and he made sure the temperature in the back was to our liking. Along our journey we opted to hear about the history of the areas we were driving through. He was very knowledgeable about historical events from early history to more modern eras. It was very apparent he has a passion for what he does. During our stops he talked about the building and ruins in the area which was great information. For lunch he recommended an excellent restaurant that was well priced and delicious.. Just as an fyi bring your passport with you for this tour as we briefly passed into Slovakia for a great vantage point. I would also recommend comfortable walking shoes. There were a handful of flights of steps but I wouldn’t say the activity level is more than moderate. My Apple Watch recorded around 10k steps, some of which were self inflicted as we spent some time going back and forth through some shops. We were dropped back off safe and sound to our hotel in the afternoon with lots of pictures and great memories. I recommend this tour and would do it all over again!
