Hohenzollernhaus er et ikonisk historisk vartegn beliggende i hjertet af Swakopmund, Namibia. Swakopmund Jetty er en historisk, 245-meter lang træstruktur, der strækker sig ind i Atlanterhavet, og tilbyder fantastisk udsigt over havet og byen, og er et populært sted for fiskere, fotografer og dem, der søger en naturskøn gåtur
Med sin tyske stil facade og tårn gitteret i grøn og guld, historiske Woermannhaus er et Swakopmund ikon, der er blandt byens ældste bygninger. I dag huser dette nationale vartegn et offentligt bibliotek og kunstcenter.
Her vil du se hundredvis af lyserøde flamingoer vandre i det grunne vand, og deres levende farver skiller sig ud mod den blå lagune. De naturskønne mudderområder tiltrækker også andre fuglearter som pelikaner og kormoranter.
Vi passerer Dune 7 tæt på Walvis Bay. Desværre klatrer vi ikke dunden, vi har kun tid til at se den. Vi tager derefter til flamingoerne og de lyserøde saltsøer

The tour was very good and Andrew our guide was very informative and friendly. He went out of his way to ensure we had a good tour. He had to wait as there was a delay getting off the ship but this was no problem.

A personal tour with another couple and the guide. Interesting journey to the town on excellent roads through dunes area. The town has some fascinating old buildings and also a surprising number of luxury shops. On the way back we visited the salt pans and saw flamingos in the distance and a couple of pelicans by the side of the road. The guide was very informative and personable.

Riaan our tour guide was amazing- friendly, insightful and generous with his humour and attention. He made the tour our highlight of visiting Namibia. Swakopmund is an interesting place, with German architecture and culture overlaid with modern Namibian life. The dunes, flamingoes and beautiful water setting were also great to see. There are few places like it in the world and it is well worth a visit. Can highly recommend this tour!

Exceptional tour Ludwig was a great guide. His English was quite good explained a lot of things as we drove, was able to make personalized stops. Return to the ship at the time specified if we’re here on another cruise, we would gladly take the same tour.

This was a very good experience if you want to learn about Namibia and get a brief overview of what is around Walvis Bay. The pick up at the cruise terminal was a little muddled as the guide we had been told to look out for wasn't the one we went with. We started off with another guide, changed and were then told we were doing a different tour. However, on a further check, this was rectified and we were really happy with the tour. Vincent is a wonderful young man who is passionate about his hometown and is a great ambassador for Namibia. We had a fabulous few hours and were very fortunate with our travelling companions.
