This was rather disappointing. We thought we were paying $80 per person for skip-the-line tickets and a guided tour, but the agency called us a day before, stating that the price was for tickets only. (The official price for this type of ticket is about $30 USD per person. They added an additional $50 for their services, which is outrageous.) To add a tour, we had to pay an additional 45 EUR. There was no other option, so we ended up paying. The tour was rather mediocre. The guide spoke English, but not extensively. The information provided was limited—most of it you could have found on Wikipedia. The guide was an official Vatican tour operator, and they are randomly assigned, so you have no control over who you get. The tour was disappointing for us. Good luck with yours.

Shuvo did exactly as promised as host and our tour guide, Alex, was highly knowledgeable and engaging. Inspite of the dense crowds, both Shuvo and Alex moved our group through with great competence. I learned so much on the tour and am glad glad to have had a tour guided experience.
