Denne oplevelse begynder med en afhentning fra dit hotel. Vores guide vil afhente dig (hvis dit hotel eller adresse ikke er på listen, så lad os vide, vi kan afhente dig overalt i Cartagena) og give dig alle detaljer om vores oplevelse. Efter en 1,5 timers kørsel ankommer vi til Palenque, hvor du vil blive mødt med en lækker salat af sæsonfrugter fra regionen.

I Palenquero House of Knowledge vil vi have musik og dansere præsentation, hvor vi vil lære om de musikalske rytmer, traditionelle danser af Palenque og lære at spille trommer
I Doña Rupe's hus, med Ruperta vil vi lære om Palenques gastronomi, og vi vil også lære at forberede en af samfundets forfædres opskrifter.
Patio Sikito : På dette sted, med lokale læger (herbalist), vil vi lære om plantebaseret medicin, hvordan de stod over for Covid pandemien i Palenque, og vigtigheden af forfædremedicin for at holde samfundet sundt til denne dag.
"Kid Pambele" Boxing Gym: Her lærer vi om Antonio Cervantes Reyes, Colombias første verdensmester i boksning, og vi vil også have en sjov boksning klasse.
På Masú Tejedor House Museum vil vi udforske et traditionelt hus bygget ved hjælp af de samme teknikker, som vores forfædre brugte i skabelsen af Palenque, og vi vil også lære om de daglige aktiviteter, der finder sted der.

Victor was extremely informative, welcoming and hilarious! He and the rest of the Palengue community made us feel like family. The food was wonderful! The whole experience was a 5/5! Just make sure you hydrate and eat a proper meal before the trip (: Btw it is his family business, so be sure to support!

I can’t rant and rave enough about Victor our tour guide. He was so informed, we didn’t feel rushed. We got to cook, eat and dance with the people there. Everyone was so welcoming. I would do this tour again and again. 10 stars!
The tour of Palengue was rich in history and very engaging. If you are looking for a tour where you will be addressed with information, this is not the tour for you. On this tour you will be challenged with thought provoking questions, dancing, cooking, etc. This is a must do if you enjoy learning about the history of different cultures.
Victor and his family are amazing. I learned about Palenque from Victor. We had the opportunity to practice African dances, meet the candy lady and learned how she makes her tasty candy, we also met the medicine doctor who was full of knowledge on to take care of ourselves naturally. I appreciate Victor, his family, and the people of Palenque for allowing us to be immersed in their culture.

Words cannot describe how incredible my experience was during this tour. From beginning to end my guide victor was kind and informative. The ride was interactive and I learned so much. I’m grateful for his knowledge and connection to Palenque. He was very personable and seeing as his family resides there ; it made the trip all the more memorable. We were able to meet some family members who were very accommodating. The transportation was pristine and comfortable. The meal served was out of this world. I had so much fun and engaging in the community. I highly recommend (10/10) You will want to tip at the end because you will certainly be pleased.
Powerful learning opportunity. Was great to learn the history of one of the first free slaved established areas. Guides were extremely friendly and informative. Locals were very welcoming and food was great.
My sisters and I had an amazing experience on the Palenque tour with Victor and his family. From start to finish, their hospitality made us feel truly welcome. We loved learning about the history of the town, the traditional foods, natural medicines, and local culture. The dancing performed by the residents was a highlight, and Victor shared so much knowledge throughout the tour. He also took great photos for us, which made the experience even more memorable. The transportation was comfortable, with air conditioning on the bus, and everything was well organized. This was an authentic and unforgettable experience, and I would definitely recommend this tour with Victor and his family to anyone visiting the area.
I loved the tour and really enjoyed myself. Not only do you learn their culture, you learn about black culture entirely. I felt welcomed and like I was long distance cousin. I really recommend tour.
