Vi afhenter dig fra busstoppestedet (Stop 1) i Invergordon Cruise Port med en varm højlandsk velkomst, klar til at starte vores dag med at udforske skønheden i de skotske højland. Vores kvindelige guide vil møde dig fra shuttlebussen med et skilt, der viser dit navn. De vil være iført blå tartan bukser!
Vores første stop vil være Culloden Battlefield. Vi vil gå rundt på slagmarken, mens vi lærer om de grusomheder, der fandt sted her den 16. april 1746. Vippene fra slaget mærkes stadig i højlandet i dag, og vores guide vil med lidenskab forklare, hvordan det ændrede vores kultur for evigt. De vil tage dig til et fantastisk synspunkt og vise dig, hvor tropperne stod over for hinanden, før jakobiterne blev slagtet. Du vil også blive vist den foreløbige hospitalet hytte, grave markører og andre punkter af interesse, før du får noget fritid til at absorbere atmosfæren af denne forfølgende historiske sted. Vores anden stop er den gamle gravplads af Clava Cairns. Bliv beundret over disse bronzealderkasser og rør ved de stående sten, mens guiden forklarer, hvordan og hvorfor disse strukturer blev bygget for 4000 år siden. Lær, hvordan viktorianerne romantiserede og ændrede landskabet i Clava, og forestil dig, hvordan det plejede at være helt tilbage i 2000 f.Kr. Gå i de gamle skotske kulturers fodspor og prøv at udforske de mysterier, de efterlod.
Vores lokale turguide vil give dig en kort gåtur rundt i byen cent af deres hjemby Inverness (eller Inversnecky som lokalbefolkningen kalder det), herunder historiske steder, arkitektur, og udlejer kender perler og historier, som kun lokalbefolkningen kender. Se den ældste pub, besøg et sted, hvor jakobitiske soldater blev henrettet efter slaget ved Culloden, og få en fantastisk udsigt over det nyrenoverede slot. Vi kører til østkysten af Loch Ness, stopper ved den fantastiske Dores Beach, hvor du kan komme tæt og personligt til Loch Ness og være vidne til en af dens smukkeste udsigter. Din gruppe vil afslutte deres tur med et besøg på Singleton Distillery. Her kan du nyde et dram ved baren og gennemse gavebutikken og informationsbrættet (Distilleri Tour ikke inkluderet)

Vi ankommer i vores Tartan Trailblazer minibus omkring 10 minutter før afgang. Hvis du bliver afhentet i krydstogthavnen, vil vi vente på tværs af vejen ved trafiklysene. Vi vil have et bord med dit navn på det og være iført lyse blå tartan bukser!

This was a FANTASTIC tour and I highly recommend it! We were a family of 11 ranging in age from 8 to 84 and one of our members needed to use a walker (rollator). Our driver and tour guide were so responsive to everyone’s needs. They surprised us with small Scottish treats along the way sampling cookies and soda we don’t have in the US. Our time off the ship was tight and they made sure we could visit everything we wanted to see. The kids in our group loved visiting the castles. My parents were so impressed with the tour guide and her knowledge. The driver was so kind and a fantastic driver on those small Scottish roads. And they both made sure to help my mom who has mobility difficulties. The value is likewise fantastic and definitely so much better than going through the cruise tours… cheaper and small group instead of on a giant bus. Thank you to Mags and Michelle for giving all of us an unforgettable day as a family!
The ladies were knowledgeable, friendly and very accomodating. The passion for their town and heritage evident with an array of interesting facts mixed with humour and stories. Felt like we were spending time with friends rather than a tour. Would thoroughly recommend!!! We were a family of 6 with ages from 16 to 83 and all we entertained the whole day. Great day ladies!!!!
Great tour! Finela and Michelle put on a very relaxed, informative almost complete tour despite our truncated schedule due to a passport inspection for our entire ship by the UK immigration force. Funny, down to earth, knowledgeable and passionately interested in the cultural and natural history of Scotland. Two thumbs up!
Michelle communicated with me and answered questions. She advised me on putting a proper itinerary together. Today she and Finella fulfilled our wish list. They were on time and had given us directions the day prior. Our group of 10 loved the attention they gave us. Finella shared wonderful history and personal stories. Michelle drove like a pro. It will forever be one of my favorite tours. Son’t miss this opportunity.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but these guys are the best! I learned so much while they made history come alive and fun while seeing incredible places. We never felt rushed and they totally adapted to whatever we needed or wanted to do. I can or recommend them highly enough

We had the most amazing day!! Finella & Michelle are the best. From the minute they picked us up to drop off was so easy. Every stop explained and showed us what we wanted to see and more . We tried local goodies and got a close up and personal with some Highland Coos .We loved these two .

A fantastic experience! We are a Spanish family, and although most of us speak English, the team made a great effort to provide some explanations in Spanish during the tour. We were traveling with a 4-year-old kid, and they had a lovely gesture with her, which we really appreciated. They also kindly offered us some snacks along the way. Such friendly people who truly enjoy what they do — we would definitely recommend them!

What a great day! Everything was so easy with Finella and Michelle. They were friendly and personable from the very beginning, picking us up and taking us on a full-day tour. They explained every stop perfectly and made the journey fun with great songs. We also got to try some typical local products. An unforgettable experience!
