This tour would be best in the cooler months when sunset is earlier, being July sunset is very late so we were too early to see the building illuminated for the night sky. Our guide met us at our hotel promptly in a very nice comfortable air con vehicle, he was very friendly. The tour took in the sights as outlined in the tour. Unfortunately our guide did not provide any commentary or details of the sights and as it was evening they were closed so it was really just a nice drive around, walk around the buildings and take in the atmosphere. The stop at the markets was good and we enjoyed walking around looking at the shops, spice, fabric and crafts etc. We could have stayed as long as we liked and had dinner but as it was still early there weren’t many people around. Visiting the grounds to the Sultan’s place was very nice as by this time Is was just getting to dusk and the first lights were coming on. Overall our driver was very nice and polite, the tour gave a nice look around in the cool of the evening but lacked any actual commentary or guide so it felt a bit of a lost opportunity - my recommendation is to book it for sunset time and request a full guide commentary if you expect it. We were happy and enjoyed it but had to go back during the day to really appreciate each of the major sights.

It has bene an amazing experience. Driver/guide very friendly and kind. He has adivsed us both the tour and the restaurant taking in consideraton our wishes. Very very recommended.

We did a late afternoon tour with Ali to Muscat to see the sites. Ali picked us up from our hotel and took us around to the different sites. We enjoyed our tour and then Ali recommended a traditional place to eat for dinner which was very good. It was nice that it was just the 2 of us so we could do what we wanted. Ali was very helpful and knew what to see and gave us lots of information about Oman. Really enjoyable trip. Thanks Ali

The driver was bang on time, very comfortable car.. we travelled all over Muscat and the driver accompanied me throughout. It was the Sultan’s brothers wedding on this date so some areas where restricted , but the driver managed to take me everywhere.. it was really interesting and no issues as a solo traveller. I highly recommend this company for group and solo traveller’s alike… thank you very much, l had a great time and really got a feel for Muscat..

Booking with Oman Taxi Tours was a smooth and reassuring experience. (There actually was an issue with Trip Advisor’s system and Oman Taxi Tours was able to circumvent and correct it instead!) Saud, the tour guide, was friendly, personable, and accommodating. We made quick stops at key photo-op spots, which is what I wanted, and did a more relaxed pace at the Mutrah Souq. We even had time to enjoy a bit of tea together! I really appreciated how everything was handled and would happily recommend them.

Saud was an amazing tour guide. He made our experience great fun and very entertaining. Will definitely recommend to friends and family if they are in Muscat.
