Our tour guide was fantastic - offered interesting history and facts I never knew before even though I grew up in South Portland! The boat ride was smooth and we enjoyed being able to stand out front to get a close up view of lighthouses and islands. Loved that it was just an hour so we could fit lots of other activities into the rest of the day too!
Great sites to see on this one hour tour. A must do when visiting Portland.
Capt'n Jake gave us a nice boat ride along Casco Bay this hot afternoon. There were welcomed cool ocean breezes. The tour narrator gave us excellent descriptions of all of the islands around Portland, land sites, lighthouses and beaches. He was a wealth of knowledge.
Very pleasant cruise. Guide was a bit corny, but no big deal.
Decent but short cruise. The boat went a bit out of the harbor and then turned around and came back the same way. It was fully narrated. We saw a few lighthouses and learned the history of some of the harbor islands. Informative, but not much to see there. If you enjoy photographing Maine lighthouses, you would probably love it.
Everything was great except we were seated in the main level, enclosed area and we couldn’t hear the narrator.
The scenery was beautiful but the volume on the microphone was too low for us to hear anything when the engine of the boat was really going. Luckily, we'd already done two other tours so we didn't miss much (I don't think).
The scenery was beautiful, with stunning views of the coastline, historic lighthouses, and picturesque islands. The Tour guide did an excellent job sharing the history of Portland Harbor, local maritime traditions, and fascinating stories behind each lighthouse, making the cruise both relaxing and educational. Highly recommend this.
The amount of history we received on this tour is incredible. They were informative and friendly. Well worth the money
Loved this tour. One hour was perfect. Price was reasonable, however, it was 40 dollars to park. Not ok.
