Dette er den første og eneste tur i New Orleans, der er specielt skabt til rejsende, der elsker moderne gadekunst, lokal historie og byudforskning! Vi mødes på St. Coffee på St. Claude, inden vi begiver os ud på en fotogen gåtur fuld af skjult gadekunst og lokal kunsthistorie, der finder sted i 9., 8. og 7. afdeling. De områder, vi vil udforske i Bywater Historic District, er virkelig "uden for den slagne vej" og bliver ikke nævnt af guide- eller rejsebøger. Du vil blive introduceret til lokale og rejsende kunstnere og de forskellige medier, der bruges til offentlig kunst, mens vi slentrer ned ad gaden.
Vi lærer om lokal kunsthistorie og fortolker et kunstværk i St. Roch Historic District, og stopper derefter for en kort pause på det 149 år gamle St. Roch Market, hvor gæsterne vil have adgang til gourmetsnacks, drinks ( inklusive håndværkscocktails, øl og vin), koldt vand og rene badeværelser.
Vi vil interagere med glitrende mosaikkunst skabt af den internationale kunstner Laurel True, besøge et væld af vægmalerier skabt af nogle af byens mest kendte gadekunstnere og udforske en kort vejstrækning, der er blevet stedet for mere end to dusin offentlige kunstværker.
Vi spadserer til kanten af det franske kvarter, hvor vi besøger et af Banksys resterende kunstværker i byen New Orleans og diskuterer den indflydelse, deres kunst havde på samfundet!

We didn’t get to go on the tour because our guide never showed up. I don’t know whether there was an emergency or just a mix-up. We spent quite a bit on Uber rides to and from the meeting point, as well as breakfast at the café where we were instructed to wait. After waiting for quite some time, we realized no one was coming. I called the contact number, and Tyler answered immediately. He apologized, offered to reschedule the tour for two days later, and processed a full refund right away. We didn’t take him up on the makeup tour because we already had other plans. We had also already spent money on transportation and breakfast and weren’t eager to get up again for a 9:00 a.m. tour in the Louisiana heat. While the experience was disappointing, the refund process was seamless, and Tyler handled the situation professionally. Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to try the tour the next time we’re in New Orleans.

Really good Street Art tour with Dave. It was nice to get out of the typical touristy areas of New Orleans. We also got a lot of history about the music and culture of jazz/new orleans, which was really interesting to learn. Also, the art is fantastic.

I’m so glad I happened upon someone online plugging this NOLA artwork as the highlight of their trip to the Big Easy. I can definitely second that opinion. Our guide, Dave, was laid back but certainly no slouch when it came to knowing his stuff and sharing his expertise in and love for the New Orleans street art and music scenes. We saw and learned about a side of the city we never would have discovered like that on our own. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I spent an enjoyable and very informative morning walking around New Orleans on our tour looking at a great variety of street art murals. Our guide gave us great information about the artist, their background, and where they predominantly lives and worked. He was knowledgeable and a g gave us a lot of great information. The variety of styles and themes of the murals that we saw during the morning varied greatly and further increased enjoyment the of the day.
Well designed and paced. I was the only one who showed up for the tour but they still honored my reservation and I got a private tour!
