We had an amazing tour with Jero ! Watching the sunrise from the top of Mount Batur was absolutely beautiful, and the Black Lava tour afterwards was a great experience too. Just be aware that you won’t have the mountain to yourself at sunrise, but if you’re okay with that, you’ll have an incredible time. A special thanks to Jero for putting so much effort into taking our photos. It honestly felt like we had a photographer with us. Highly recommend booking with Jero!
Great experience! Everything went very well, from the pickup to the return. Our driver Ageng and our guide Wira were great and attentive. During the hike, we were able to take breaks as we were not pressed for time. We had a headlamp as well as trekking poles. Good shoes are essential! The hot springs (about 1.5 hours) are worth the detour as they allow for relaxation after the trek.
The tour was amazing. From the pick up to the trekking tour, everything was well organized! Our tour guide, Ketut, he was very kind, always make sure we had enough rest in between, and also very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this tour!
Won't be an easy hike if you are unfit but still doable. You will need proper footwear as the slopes are very slippery. My guide - Wayan was very helpful and would adjust her pace accordingly and also stop for breaks. He made us breakfast consisting of bread with cooked banana, an orange, a chocolate bar, and a hot beverage. Although the hike wasn't easy, the views were definitely worth it.
I did the Mount Batur sunrise trek from Kuta and had an amazing time! My driver, Eki, picked me up on time at 01:30 am and drove safely without navigation — he even taught me some Indonesian words on the way, which was fun. My guide, I Ketut, with 12 years of experience, led me smoothly to the summit in about 1,5 hour, prepared a tasty breakfast at the top, and took great photos. His English was clear, so communication was easy. After the trek, I visited Batur Nature Hot Spring, which had pools of different depths, plenty of lockers for storage, and a welcome drink included.
Amazing Mount Batur sunrise hike and hot spring excursion. Everything was well organized, the Black Lava was very impressive, and the hot springs were perfect to relax after. Special thanks to our guide Panca, who was very helpful, available, and attentive throughout the trip. He made the experience even better. Highly recommended !
Very well organized activity. Sarwa, my driver was amazing. From the kind reminder the day before 2:15 am pickup in Ubud, all I had to do was sit back and enjoy. Jero was our leader on the trail, and was always ensuring everyone was safe and ok. Recommend the hike! Be sure to check the weather if you don’t want sunrise disappointment - but the experience is still worth it regardless!
We had a very good hiking guide who ensured we were able to keep pace to reach the peak in time without getting too tired to slow down the climb. We were also able to reach a very nice viewing point for the sunrise which was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.
