Christopher was a wonderful tour guide, he tailored our day to suit us and the sort of things we wanted to see, he told us a lot about the island, he was very knowledgable, and he took us to a local spot for lunch which was lovely, the car was very spacious, we drove past a lot of non private tours which looked quite crowded. a wonderful day, well worth doing. Would definitely recommend
We had the most amazing tour of the west side of Madeira. Ryan was an incredible tour guide! He had so many interesting facts to share with us and was very informative of the island’s history and culture. We told him a few spots we wanted to see, and he also had some great recommendations for where to stop, as well. He knew a few secret back roads that took us through some amazing views! Would highly recommend this tour.
Ryan was overly considerate and accommodating. He went above and beyond and was always smiling and FULL OF INFORMATION on the island.
We had such an amazing time on the private Northwest Safari tour with Mystical Sparks. Ryan was the best guide, very knowledgeable, safe, and so much fun to be around. He showed us beautiful hidden spots and made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. We enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked the sunrise tour to Pico do Areeiro for the next day. We had so many good laughs and truly loved the adventure. He went above and beyond to make it special for us. Highly recommend.
We had the most amazing experience exploring Madeira! We did a full-day jeep safari on the north-west side of the island and another day watching the sunrise at Pico do Areeiro, and both were absolutely unforgettable. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, respectful, and passionate about the island. We learned so much about Madeira’s history, nature, and hidden places you would never find on your own. The jeep safari was a perfect mix of adventure and breathtaking views, especially along the rugged north-west coast. The sunrise at Pico do Areeiro was magical truly one of the most beautiful moments of our trip. Our guide made sure everything was perfectly timed and comfortable, and his professionalism made us feel safe and relaxed the entire time. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Madeira. It made our trip extra special, and we will never forget it!
We had a one-day tour in Madeira with our family and kids, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Our tour guide was absolutely amazing — young, energetic, and incredibly knowledgeable about the island. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and enjoyed the day. His positive attitude, great sense of humor, and genuine passion for what he does made the whole trip special. This was SUCH a great way to see as much of Madeira as possible in a day and a good way to get an introduction to where things are on the island. Mystical Spark and the team went above and beyond for our group from the moment I sent in an inquiry. Ryan personally called to get all our details and made my friends birthday so special. Our guide set up a super cute birthday dessert with candles and decor, had the jeep filled with balloons, and even gave a cute card to my friend with some Madeira wine to celebrate with. We had the birthday dessert at the top of the mountains near a pretty lake and got to see tons of cool spots on the island. Our guide was so knowledgeable (way to go Nuno) and it was so fun to get local insights. This is a balanced tour with some off roading, some touristy stops, lunch, going for a port tasting and Pancha, etc. it has it all! Don’t miss this and definitely use these guys if you have a special occasion!
Great day with a wonderful guide! From the start Ryan was so great with our kids that it made the tour even more engaging. When one of the spots was closed, he was quick to divert us to other places but still getting us the adventures we were seeking. Highly recommended! One tip - the provider only takes cash so be prepared, it didn't dampen the day and they were very accommodating.

What a great trip! We packed loads in throughout the day, seeing so much of the varied and beautiful places, landscapes and stunning vistas Madeira has to offer. So many highlights! What a full and wonderful adventure. Ryan was our guide/driver and he was excellent! Friendly, knowledgeable, and a good driver.
