Vi besøger Luss, en af Skotlands smukkeste højland landsbyer siddende på bjergene af Loch Lomond. Mens du vandrer rundt i landsbyen, vil du finde rækker af små hytter, der kommer til live i foråret og sommeren med overstrømmende blomsterdisplays. Disse blomsterveje vil føre dig til pier, hvor du kan nyde panoramaudsigt over Loch Lomond og Ben Lomond på den anden side.
Navnet "Trossachs" stammer fra den gaelic betyder "det brystede land". Dens tykke skov, sprudlende vandfald og rolige søer var baghaven for en af Skotlands mest berygtede lovovertrædere Rob Roy MacGregor, som fik berømmelse som bandit og soldat, men endte med en skotsk folkehelte. Han er udødeliggjort i filmen Rob Roy og i den historiske roman af samme navn af Sir Walter Scott, som også blev inspireret af dette vilde, romantiske landskab til at skrive sin episke digt Lady of the Lake.
Vi stopper for frokost i den travle turistby Callander. Fyldt med te butikker og souvenir muligheder, Callander er ofte beskrevet som "gateway til Highlands".
Vi besøger den vidunderlige Stirling Castle, en af de bedst bevarede renæssance bygninger i landet, som er blevet genoprettet til sin oprindelige herlighed. Følg i fodsporene af Skotlands Stuart Kings, af Mary, dronning af skotterne og af Bonnie Prince Charlie. Really good trip and our guide Colin was excellent and very entertaining. Visiting Loch Lomond was particularly memorable and he even managed to stop the coach in order for us all to take some pictures of highland cows. The trip run on time and we were back at the cruise terminal bang on time which is very critical if you are on a British cruise!

We had an absolutely fantastic day with Dave from Wow Scotland! From start to finish, he made the tour feel personal, relaxed, and genuinely fun. Exploring Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle was incredible, but what really made the experience stand out was Dave himself. Do yourself a favour and avoid ship priced shore excursions. We had a fantastic day out with this company. From meeting us at our ship to returning us before the ship sailed, we had a great time. We really enjoyed the local snacks - such a thoughtful touch. Our driver, Marc, was warm and friendly.

Firstly Gary the greatest guide ever as he was all about pleasing the guests he was touring. Loving dedicated and extremely talented professional and knowledgeable.
