Cancelled so we didn’t get to do this cruise. Poor communication so we showed up only to confirm it cancelled. Didn’t realize it was a 3rd party booking so messaging looked like spam when I got a text back from a South African notice? No communication on pickup time and location so it was confusing and felt like we were being ripped off.
Booked a sunset cruise on the boat they feature on photos, arrived and ended up on the old ferry boat with a waterwheel, not sure what happed to our table, if they over sold or what because they didn’t have enough tables for me and my friend, they sat us by the bathrooms, didn’t serve us with beverages or food, I constantly had to come up to their counter and ask if we can at least be served with a soft drink, and then silverware and they somehow didn’t place our order of food, everyone was served and finished eating, I had to come up to their counter and ask if we can get our food, and since we got served so late, we missed out on dessert and half the outdoor sunset view due to us only getting our food and everyone already finished and enjoyed their time.
The wine tasting was not done as a proper tasting with a sommelier talking about the wine and pairing with the food. Just poured into a glass. The dinner cruise people had cloth napkins and glass wear and wine tasting paper and plastic.
The food and drinks were amazing. I have the ribeye and the blue Tahoe margarita . The staff was wonderful. Better than expected.
Our wine tasting tour seemed to be undersold, so they grouped us with the dinner cruise. As a result, we were seated in the middle of a larger boat, surrounded by people eating a full course meal, and we had a restricted view of the lake and mountains. By the end, we were able to get to the top floor and take in the sights, it we felt pretty disappointed in the experience overall. If you’re truly a wine enthusiast, you will not be impressed with the wine — there were two I couldn’t finish — but the pours are generous, and it is a unique way to spend time on the water. If we had been on the smaller boat, I think we would have enjoyed it. If the smaller scale of the wine tour is important and you get a text an hour or two before departing announcing that you’ll be on the Dixie, you might want to call and ask if it’s possible to reschedule.
A lack of communication, no one to call with questions. Could not figure out where to o meet the pick-up bus/van. Parking not available at the pick/up points. They switched us from wine tasting cruise to the dinner cruise without notification. We Stenner dinner before the cruise. Took the nice dinner home as left overs. The cruise was very nice. Staff were friendly. I realize we were upgraded, and every effort was made to accommodate us once we were at the Zepher Cove marina. We spent much of our valuable vacation time to figuring out where to meet the boat. The competition companies were the ones who informed us on how to connect with this cruise. We were working the whole time on presumptive information. So even when we arrived to the cruise location we were not sure we were at the right place until the staff said the had our names for the reservation. These are things the company can fix, the cruise itself I would recommend.
Very well organized and efficient. Food was good, music enjoyable and the length of the outing was just right.
We booked a sunset wine cruise expecting an intimate experience with just eight guests, but only four hours before departure we were notified that our cruise had been canceled. Instead, we were moved to a much larger cruise with around 100 people, which was definitely disappointing since it wasn't the experience we had booked. To make up for the change, we were each offered a complimentary glass of wine, which was a nice gesture. The food was average—nothing particularly memorable—but the scenery more than made up for it. The sunset views were absolutely beautiful, and despite the unexpected change, we still had a wonderful time on the water. While I wish we had received more notice or a better alternative for the last-minute cancellation, the stunning views and enjoyable atmosphere made for an overall pleasant evening.
Wine tasting was canceled, transferred us to dinner cruise. Went and found the seating so crowded we left. This is not what we signed up for. We have requested a refund that should have been done start with.
I thought, based on the picture and the reservation, we reserved a somewhat intimate wine tasting with few people on a smallish boat. We ended up with probably a hundred people on a giant Mississippi River style paddle boat. And some of them were eating dinner. But not us! We had a selection of mid cheese and salami and some shrimp. Which would have been totally fine if that was what I was paying for. But it wasn’t. The service was fine. The scenery on the upper deck of the boat was spectacular. Some of the people we met were wonderful. If you are in the market for a nice boat ride on the lake, this is your chance. If you are looking for an intimate wine tasting with cheese you couldn’t get at Safeway, just don’t.
