This tour was a lovely evening tour, our guide Shilin was fun and very knowledgable of japanese culture, Geisha history and Gion district. It was beautiful to walk those streets and learn so much! I was hoping so much to see a Geisha but we didnt.... The sites visted were just beautiful, the pagoda was just mesmerizing, we had time to explore and the views on the bridge were beautiful. Shilin made some great restaurants suggestions at the end as well she even offered us any additional guidance during or stay to reach out to her!!! She was very nice!!
Alejandro was an engaging and knowledgable guide, he took us to parts of Kyoto that we wouldn’t have known about and gave us lots of interesting information both about the areas we were in and about general life in Japan. He is a great communicator and his enthusiasm for Kyoto comes through. I would wholly recommend Alejandro and this tour

Kris was a great guide. My family and I had a wonderful time. Very informative yet fun.
Cancelled the tour minutes over the 24hour threshold (as I turned up the day before and wasn’t in Kyoto the following night) did not get a refund I have left it with Amex to sort. Kept getting emails and WhatsApp’s clearly from Bots as I asked them to stop. Would not deal with Viator again

Amazing walk, wonderful district to see after 5pm, and the guide was 👌. Many cultural / historical anecdotes, and we appreciated the dessert and the recommendations in the Pontocho street at the end. Would 100% recommend!

The tour gives a deeper and better appreciation of Gion district, Geisha culture, and Shinto religion beyond popular culture depictions. Two hours passed by so quickly because the tour was so enjoyable and interactive. Naoki-san was very knowledgeable of Gion area and culture. He enthusiastically shared his knowledge and answered our questions. I hope others get to experience the tour with Naoki-san too!

I absolutely loved this tour at night - definitely a highlight of our trip. Seeing the old streets of Gion without the crowds was amazing and learning the Geisha culture was fascinating. Yoshi was a lovely guide who explained everything well. Highly recommend
