Denne tur samler nogle af de mest forskellige og imponerende landskaber i Aserbajdsjan i en enkelt dag. Fra de farverige Candy Cane Mountains til dybe kanoner og brede bjergudsigt, hver stop tilbyder utrolige landskaber og gode fotomuligheder. Du vil rejse gennem den smukke Quba region, passerer skove, floder og traditionelle landsbyer langs ruten. Højdepunktet på rejsen er Khinaliq, en af de højeste og ældste bjerglandsbyer i Kaukasus, hvor gamle traditioner stadig er bevaret. Undervejs vil du også opleve lokalt liv, natur og kultur i en meget autentisk indstilling. Det er et ideelt valg for rejsende, der ønsker at udforske ud over Baku og se landets sande bjergskønhed.

Turen starter omkring 8:00. En dag før turen, vil du modtage den nøjagtige placering og starttidspunkt.
Din første stop vil være den berømte Candy Cane Mountains (farvede bakker). Dette unikke naturlandskab er kendt for sine slående røde og hvide strejfede mønstre, hvilket gør det til et perfekt sted for fotos. Du vil også have tid til at nyde den smukke panoramaudsigt og tage i den fredelige omgivelser.
Undervejs vil du også se Five Finger Mountain (Beshbarmaq Mountain). Dette ikoniske landemærke kan ses fra vejen, mens vi passerer forbi, men der vil ikke være nogen stop på dette sted.
Derefter passerer vi gennem byen Quba, en af Aserbajdsjans mest maleriske regioner. Quba er kendt for sin rige historie, æblefrugter og traditionel tæppevævning. Det er også hjemsted for den berømte Røde bosættelse, en af de ældste og største jødiske samfund i verden uden for Israel og USA.
Herefter stopper vi i Qechresh Forest. Dette område er kendt for sin afslappende atmosfære, omgivet af frodig grønt og frisk bjergluft. Her finder du små restauranter, caféer, souvenirbutikker og traditionelle honninghuse, hvor du kan smage lokale produkter. Efter dette stop, vil vi begynde vores rejse op i bjergene, på vej mod Khinaliq.
Næste stop bliver ved Qudyalchay Canyon. Vi stopper mellem bjergene, hvor du kan nyde fantastisk natur og tage smukke billeder af dalen og floden nedenfor.
Dernæst vil vi stoppe ved et panoramaudsigt. Herfra kan du nyde en betagende panoramaudsigt over De Store Kaukasiske Bjerge, med endeløse bjergkæder, der strækker sig ind i horisonten.
Vores endelige destination er landsbyen Khinaliq, en af de ældste og højeste bjerglandsbyer i Kaukasus. Det er berømt for sit unikke sprog, gamle historie og traditionelle stenhuse bygget på stejle bjergskråninger. Her vil du også have mulighed for at nyde frokost i et lokalt familiemuseum, opleve autentisk hjemmelavet mad og traditionel gæstfrihed i en virkelig unik indstilling.
Bemærk venligst, at den samlede køretid på denne rute er ca. 8 timer i begge retninger. Vi vil rejse med flere stop langs vejen, og den fulde tur varighed er omkring 11-12 timer i alt. Du vil vende tilbage til Baku omkring 20:00.

Leyla was a great tour guide, maybe the best in Azerbaijan. Lots of driving involved, but worth the trek.
The nature in the mountains was beautiful and the old village was interesting. The bus was old and uncomfortable, AC was hardly working. Leyla was a very nice guide, friendly and supportive, sharing a lot of information.

Regarding the air conditioning, it's important to note that the route climbs to more than 2,200 meters above sea level through steep mountain roads. During such ascents, the performance of any vehicle's air conditioning system is naturally reduced due to the increased engine load. This is a normal characteristic of mountain driving and not a technical issue. As for the vehicle, the tour is operated with a 2016 Toyota Hiace, which is a reliable minibus specifically chosen for mountain roads and remote destinations such as Khinalig. While comfort preferences may vary from person to person, describing the vehicle as "old" does not accurately reflect its condition or suitability for this route. We are pleased that you enjoyed the landscapes, the village, and the guidance provided during the tour.
A wonderful experience! Leyla was the best guide we could’ve asked for: energetic, caring, informative. You can tell she loves what she does. The driver was competent and fast. For me, the highlight of the trip was the homemade meal in the village. Even though it was cold, I’m happy I got to see some of Azerbaijan countryside.

This trip takes you to the popular sights around the Absheron peninsula, including the first oil well, a mosque, the mud pots, the Gobustan petroglyphs, the burning mountain, and the fire temple. The highlight is definitely the off-road trip in a Lada to the mud pots; even though my trip was in the rain, the guide wrapped our shoes in plastic bags and we slid up the mountain to see the bubbling mounds. My guide, Leyla, was friendly and lively and kept the tour moving along. Overall, a fun trip and great way to start my time in Azerbaijan.

My excursion to Gobustan and Absheron was a delightful blend of history and natural wonders.
