Vi rejser tidligt fra Darwins indre by, så vi kan få mest muligt ud af vores tid på at udforske Nitmiluk National Park og de omkringliggende områder ombord på vores Katherine Gorge & Edith Falls dagstur.
Efter at have forladt Darwin om morgenen rejser vi sydpå ad den berømte Stuart Highway gennem Adelaide River og Pine Creek mod Katherine.
Oplev den endemiske flora og fauna i denne fascinerende region i Northern Territory med din guides historiske og kulturelle kommentar, mens vi rejser gennem Nitmiluk National Park. Katherine River og Edith Falls er to af de mest berømte attraktioner i denne region
Der er ingen bedre måde at opleve Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) på end med NitNit Dreaming-bådturen. På NitNit Dreaming-krydstogtet rejser du gennem midten af 70 m høje klippeflader, da solens naturlige lys ændrer farverne i landskabet og klippeformationerne, mens du rejser gennem kløften.
Edith Falls (Leliyn) er med sin enorme naturlige bassin et fantastisk sted at tage en forfriskende dukkert eller blot slappe af og nyde omgivelserne. (*svømning er afhængig af årstiden) Udsigt over flugten kan ses fra flere udkigspunkter langs turen
Hvis tiden tillader det, stopper vi her for rejsende til at strække deres ben og have et hvilestop.
Efter at have nydt en actionfyldt dag med naturlig skønhed, går vi langsomt tilbage til Darwin og ankommer engang mellem kl. 19.30 og 20.00.

A long day but well worth the trip to the falls and the cruise. Gemma was a great energetic guide. Great bus, newer with usb chargers (useful for 11 hr trips). Bring food just in case the stops aren't long enough. Cruise was a great cultural experience and a chance to see crocs in their natural habitat. Kids enjoyed hiking and swimming at the top pool of Edith falls.
Our tour guide Charlotte was fantastic we enjoyed this experience so much as a family even though it was a very big day lots of core memories made so thank you Charlotte
Great trip to venture out of the city and experience swimming in a waterfall area, seeing freshwater crocs and listening to local knowledge in Katherine Gorge. Information that may help: - This is a long day, departing the city at 6.30am and returning at 8.30pm. - Lunch was purchased on the way at a servo, not too much available so packing your own lunch would be a good option. There was an esky on the bus to hold food/drinks if needed. - The trip is very accessible, if you can navigate a bus step and a couple of steps then you’ll be fine. There are man made steps into Edith Falls if you would like a swim, there is also a transfer chair for additional accessibility into the water (see photo, 10/10 Darwin!) - Our tour guide Bogden was extremely knowledgeable and there to assist, the bus was clean and air conditioned. There were USB charges on the back of the seats and fresh water available. - The boat ride was great, our local indigenous guide was fabulous. The boat is covered, but the sun shines in on one side. Bring sunscreen/hat. Again, there was water available. - There were plenty of opportunities for a toilet break for those of you who need regular breaks. Edith Falls also have change rooms, so if you’re going for a swim, bring a change of clothes to make the rest of the trip comfortable as it was the first stop.
