Bygget i 1573 og siges at være "det mest perfekte" eksempel på en Elizabethan bygning, der er tilbage i det centrale London. Så meget af den engelske historie drejer sig om denne bygning.
Vi stopper udenfor Inner Temple Hall. Shakespeare's Henry VI del 1 antyder, at Krigen om roserne opstod med plukningen af røde og hvide roser i Temple Gardens. Haven er normalt åben for offentligheden i løbet af ugen om eftermiddagen.
Bygget i 1162 af Tempelriddere, i fiktion det optrådte i Dan Browns bog og film, Da Vinci Code, og faktisk i Magna Carta forhandlinger, da kong John brugte templet som en af sine to baser i London. Temple Church vil normalt være åben efter morgenturen - adgang er £ 5,00.
Bygningen blev åbnet i 1882 af dronning Victoria, og blev oprindeligt designet til at rumme 19 retter, og nu er der omkring hundrede. Vi går ind i bygningen.
Dette hotel producerede elleve premierministre. Den gamle sal blev bygget omkring 1490 og blev nogle gange brugt som en domstol.
Er en tidligere Inn of Chancery. Fronten blev opført i 1586 og er det fineste eksempel på en Tudor træ indrammet bygning i det centrale London.
Hallen blev bygget i 1560 og genopbygget efter bombe skader med et betydeligt bidrag fra American Bar Association. På pladsen er der en statue til Inn mest fremtrædende tidligere medlem. Hør hans historie og beslutte, om der skulle have været en statue til ham.

Keith, our guide, was very knowledgeable as he's a retired lawyer so you get loads of extra inside information from him on top, not just about the history of the buildings but how the legal system actually works. It was a well paced 3 hour tour and even though I lived in London for over 20 years, we went to a part of London I didn't even know existed. So highly recommended it.
Very informative chance to learn about the British legal system and culture of the courts, as well as the history and famous people associated with the system.
This was the very best experience. Our guide was very engaging and our whole 3 + hours was packed with the history of the area as well as very interesting information on the legal system in the UK and abroad. His very personal experiences of training and working as a barrister added extra dimensions to the tour. An absolute must for anybody!

Our guide, Keith, was punctual, accessible and totally professional. Prior to embarking on this guided walk, I am ashamed to say I knew little about important aspects of the English legal system. This tour was an excellent and entertaining introduction to the development of that system. I particularly valued the opportunity to sit in on a case in the Royal Courts of Justice. Very worthwhile!
Very thorough. Keith has a solid understanding of the law’s history and its evolution and the institutions that compose it. And he conveyed it well.
Very interesting and recommended. Our guide Erick is a retired lawyer who worked in the area and knows it wonderfully. He is always willing to answer questions thoroughly, and since there were only three of us, it allowed for a very pleasant and informative experience. We entered to witness a trial, which was very unexpected.
The tour leader was extremely well informed. He was pleasant and shared interesting facts and "behind the scenes" information about the tour topic. He clearly cared about our group and readily answered all of our questions. the three hours flew by; I would highly recommend the tour.

Absolutely fascinating tour of a part of London I didn’t know. Beautiful architecture, peaceful squares and some nice eateries and pubs. It was interesting learning the history behind the Inns of Court and getting into the High Court itself. I will definitely revisit.
