Amazing to see them in the wild and unfeed
Everything was great, the organisation is very responsive and very quick with answering all the questions. Tourguides were very informative and showed us all wonders of Sumatra and the accommodation was great as well . All were very very friendly and the foot there was excellent.👍
This was the most amazing experience ever! I cannot recommend it enough! The guides were insanely friendly, funny and helpful! The food was delicious and the accommodation was better than expected given it’s in the middle of the jungle! And the trek was insane, we saw so many orangutans, gibbons, different types of monkeys, hornbills, snakes, squirrels, monitor lizards and turtles! Couldn’t believe my luck!!
Explore Sumatra Wonders was the most perfect trekking tour I could have ever experienced, in all honesty. I travel a lot and hike a lot, and this was truly a perfect time. Super happy and will come back. The tour guides were so lovely, chill and welcoming. As a young solo traveller (and woman) hiking for the first time in jungle terrain, I felt really at ease and safe. I was taken care of. The guides really know how to be there for their group members- it was nice that I could go at my own pace, stop to take film photos and ask about the land. The treks and routes were fascinating- as an environmental scientist- I was taught a lot of local information. The landscapes are amazing— sleeping amongst jungle animals, being shown how to respect them and respect the land as I trekked. The campsites were really comfortable. Swimming by the campsites was so insanely awesome. Big highlight. The food and the quality of food and home style cooking by the boys was shockingly so great. The morning coffee and tea, the fruit!!! So fresh and sweet!! Our game nights and evenings, also really great. Some of my biggest moments smiling and laughing. No complaints, truly. I’m very grateful for this experience and to have met such awesome brothers.
I went on the 3 day and 2 night trip. We were luckily enough to have 2 of the coolest guides that helped us see pretty much everything Sumatra has to offer. Beautiful views, lovely camps, swimming in the river. Honestly, I cannot recommend a trip more. Super affordable, and we had a good group size.
One of the best experiences I‘ve ever done. We saw many orangutans and other wild animals. We had a lot of fun with our tourguides and the Organisation was perfect.
This was the best experience in ages! So incredibly well arranged, professional, the nicest and most convivial guides, seen many animals, had fun, with time going way too fast. Can recommend this experience to everyone!:)
There is so much organization, care, and friendliness in this tour from this operator! Airport transfers were great! It was an incredible, enriching experience in the jungle! The food during our hike was absolutely magnificent. We were always well taken care of, and there was a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere. The hiking route and the pace were excellently adjusted. Requests were always taken into account by Bima, Badroll, and Dandy. It is wild how cheap and good this tour is. We are absolutely thrilled and had great luck with animals: We saw EVERYTHING: Hornbills, various types of monkeys, turtles, a snake, bats, and 8 different orangutans (on two of the three days). From a huge male to a mom with a baby, everything was there. The rafting back at the end is so much fun! On the last evening back in Bukit Lawang, Dandy played guitar fantastically for us and there was singing. An all-around great experience!
We had an extremely nice time with the team. So nice that we even stayed 3 more nights in Bukit Lawang! The tour was super organized. We were able to observe a great many orangutans and the food that Bor cooked was excellent. The guides also perfectly accommodated different walking speeds, so that everyone could get the most out of the experience. We also had fun talking with our guides Nanda, Dedi, and Ian late into the night. Remember playing cards! ;) Nanda and Bima even drove us to a nearby town the next day to run some final errands before our departure. I would recommend that everyone take this tour. The company made Bukit Lawang one of the most beautiful stops on our 3-month trip.
I had an amazing experience doing the 3D2N jungle trek! Our guides, Dani and Roji, were fantastic – incredibly knowledgeable about the jungle, friendly, and fun. Thanks to their expertise we were lucky enough to see orangutans, siamangs and plenty of other amazing wildlife. A huge thank you as well to Chef Bahar, who cooked us delicious, varied meals in the middle of the jungle. The whole team created such a fun atmosphere and made the trek unforgettable. I couldn’t recommend this experience more highly.
