This was a lot of fun. If you’ve ever wanted to ride a bicycle on a high wire in the circus, the first stop is for you, or choose from some other activities. Ataco was a place to shop for handicrafts and fridge magnets. A couple of ladies bought nice handbags. The third stop was hot springs. I didn’t spend as much time in the water as I wished. Mud bath was interesting. If you are in San Salvador, ask if you are going to be picking people from the beach. There are hours of bus time for everyone, and it’s probably an additional 1.5 to go from San Salvador to the beach. Diego was a great guide. You could also ask if he will lead the tour.
Gaby was a very insightful, instructive and attentive guide. She provided a lot of information about the culture and history of Salvador. I would highly recommend her.
Would highly recommend this tour!
I had a one on one tour with Francisco and let me tell you, I had the best time of my life. Francisco was so funny, kind and super fun to talk to. At first I was very nervous because I was the only traveler but as soon as we started communicating, we connected. The ride was 2 hours long from San Salvador but because of our talks, it felt shorter. I learned so much about the different district’s and cultures of El Salvador on our way to cafe Albania. Before getting to Cafe Albania. We stopped by a beautiful view of all 8 mountains/ volcano. Such a beautiful view. Cafe Albania was so much fun! I was so scared to do some activities but def was an adventure. If you are not afraid of heights and love adrenaline, This place is for you! The prices are decently price for the activity. I did 5 activities for under 30 dollars. And best part is that Francisco took many videos of me while I enjoyed the activities! Great videographer, I must say. Ataco was such a beautiful location where people were so kind and it is filled with color. I entered The church called Ave Maria. It was so beautiful inside and out. Ataco was also a Great place to shop around for souvenirs and everything is reasonably priced. If you’re a cat lover, you will fall in love with their location called Cafe arte artesanias - Axul. I was in heaven with all the cat related items. Cash only ! Please bring enough cash because you will want to buy EVERYTHING. As for our meal, we ate at the teresa hot springs which was very delicious! Would recommend their carne à la Parilla ( grilled steak ). There are a lot of doggies but nothing to worry about being attacked. They just want food but be careful when feeding them because other dogs can get aggressive to the other dogs. The hot spring itself was so relaxing ! I wished I stayed longer. I will be returning! The prices are great and you are able to pay cash or card for food and relaxing treatments. They have so many pools to choose from. On our way back, it was another 2 hour drive but as I mentioned before, felt so fast because Francisco and I spoke so much and eventually started having a karaoke session. Let me tell you, he is an amazing singer! If I could rate more than 5 stars, I WOULD. I had a great time and I appreciated all he did for me and showing me around. Please do this tour, you will not regret it.
Honestly I loved this activity being in El Salvador was extremely hard for me and my sister as it is a Spanish speaking country and we knew that before going but it was my birthday I’m Caribbean and want to see the world outside of just Caribbean countries. Francisco made it so we learnt about the history and seen some places that were far from the hotel at which we stayed at he took pictures and videos that were sent to us right away. All in all I would definitely recommend you to do this activity with Mr Francisco he speaks good enough English for us to have a conversation and he also speaks Spanish as well. He’s such a gentleman and has perfect manners I wish him all the best in life and hopefully he gained some clientele when I post my video on TikTok. Thank you Francisco for making my birthday so fun.
Gaby and Josue were amazing. Very friendly, punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

My tour was originally rescheduled from Monday to Wednesday by the operating company because there were not enough participants for the original date. However, on the day of the tour, I found out that the other guest had canceled at the last minute, meaning I was the only participant. I really appreciated that the agency was still responsible enough to make the tour happen even for just one person. The tour started at 7 AM, with Diego Gomez serving as both the tour guide and driver. He picked me up directly from my hotel, and we visited all the places listed in the itinerary. Only one activity was included at Cafe Albania, but I paid an extra $10 for the rainbow slides, which I honestly found much more fun than the surfing board activity. In Ataco town, Diego explained the meaning behind the famous downtown mural, which gave me a much deeper understanding of Salvadoran culture and mythology. He also took me to a souvenir shop where I found some beautiful art pieces that I absolutely loved. The highlight of the tour for me was the Santa Teresa hot springs. The water felt amazing, and I spent about three hours there feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. But be careful in the restaurant, my packed food was stolen by a wandering dog, but the restaurant agreed to compensate me for some chicken strips. We returned to the hotel around 4 PM. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation, especially if you enjoy hot springs.
Josue was very kind and knowledgeable. The experience as a whole was 10/10!
