Phnom Penhs tidlige morgen buzz omkring dig, mens du venter i din hotel lobby, dit navn på en munter "velkomst" skilt holdt af din chauffør. Femten minutter før afrejse føres du ind i et komfortabelt, airconditionet køretøj, der kører til Siem Reap. I løbet af de næste 5-6 timer, vil du glide gennem Cambodjas skiftende landskaber - ris paddies, landsbyer og åben himmel - med afslappende toilet og kaffe pauser sprøjtet langs vejen.
Angkor Wat, bygget omkring 1150 af kong Suryavarman II, er et monumentalt hindu-buddhistisk tempelkompleks nær Siem Reap. Det dækker omkring 160 ha, og er berømt for sin silhuet på fem tårne, store grus og indviklede basrelieffer, der skildrer guder og episke fortællinger.
Den sydlige port til Angkor Thom (sent 12. - tidligt 13. århundrede) er den bedst bevarede indgang til den murede by. Flankeret af devas og asuras, der holder naga balustrader, det har 23 m tårne med rolige ansigter udskåret i Bayon stil

Træd ind i Siem Reaps livlige sjæl på den gamle marked (Phsar Chas), hvor Cambodjas charme kommer til live i en farverig, kaotisk og fængslende atmosfære. Beliggende i nærheden af floden og kun få minutter fra den ikoniske Pub Street, er denne historiske marked et must-besøg for enhver, der ønsker at opleve den virkelige Cambodja.

What a fabulous way to visit Angkor Wat. Yes it is a long drive but totally worth the effort. My driver was great with a seamless pickup and drop off and stopped along the way when requested. My guide at Angkor Wat, Mr T was very knowledgeable and also a great photographer. For those travellers based in Phonm Penh I would highly recommend doing this tour.
Kim the tour guide absolutely phenomenal. I learned so much about the temples, history, religion and culture. Kim was also incredibly informative and patient and helpful. he always asked and made sure if I was okay and if I needed water. I highly recommend this tour for people visiting Cambodia. they are incredible to the people coming to visit and they are such beautiful people. such beautiful tour guides. highly recommend this tour

Enjoyed our tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very helpful with taking pictures. The tour was quite a bit of money with the temple pass not included.

I wanted to visit Siem Reap and Angkor Wat but didn’t have enough time in Cambodia for an overnight stay, so I booked this day tour from Phnom Penh. The day was long — it started with a tuk-tuk pickup at my hotel at 4:30 am and ended when I finally got back to Phnom Penh around 9:30–10 pm. Unfortunately, the morning didn’t go smoothly. The minivan I was supposed to take at 5 am was out of service, so I had to wait for the next one at 6 am and lost an hour. Thankfully, the driver made up good time and got us to Siem Reap at 11:30 am, 30 minutes earlier than planned. My guide, Tola (aka Mr. T), met me shortly after arrival and sincerely apologized, explaining it was the partner company’s fault, not his. Once we met, we dove into the tour: 2 hours at Angkor Wat, lunch, 1 hour at Ta Prohm, and 1 hour at Bayon Temple before I had to catch the return bus. Even though the day felt a bit rushed because of the lost morning time, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Tola more than made up for everything with his excellent guiding, great photo and video captures, covering my beer expense during lunch, and a wonderful surprise at the end — he upgraded my return bus to a first-class luxury coach at his own expense. All in all, it was a wonderful day. A big thank you to Tola and his driver for going above and beyond to make my experience great! If you’re short on time in Cambodia but still want to see Siem Reap and Angkor Wat in one day from Phnom Penh, I highly recommend this tour. The van issue I had was apparently rare, so you can expect smooth round-trip transportation and an outstanding guide who takes fantastic photos and videos while knowing how to show you the must-see sites.
