9:00 - Afrejse fra Beirut Din chauffør henter dig op fra dit hotel i Beirut og kører nordpå ind i de libanesiske bjerge - byen forsvinder bag dig, mens vejen klatrer mod Tannourine og dagens første naturlige vidunder.
Baatara Gorge - tre broer, et vandfald, nul ord Intet forbereder dig til Baatara. Et vandfald på 255 meter falder gennem tre på hinanden følgende naturlige kalkstenbroer - et geologisk fænomen, der ikke findes andre steder på jorden - forsvinder ind i mørket i kløften nedenfor. Gå ned til udsigtspunktet, føl sprøjten, hør råben og prøv at tage et billede, der gør det retfærdigt. Du kan ikke - men du vil prøve alligevel. Om foråret, når sneen smelter hårdt, er vandmængden forbløffende. Selv om sommeren er kløften dramatisk og gåturen er værd hvert skridt. Fra kløften, hovedet til Aaqoura — et højt bjergområde, som de fleste libanesiske besøgende aldrig finder, hvilket er præcis, hvad der gør det værd at gå. Søerne ligger på over 1.500 meter over havets overflade, indrammet af cederskovsridder og bjergpanoramaer, der strækker sig over det nordlige libanesiske højland. Batroun er også berømt som hjemsted for Libanons håndværk øl scene, hvis du føler for en kold en efter en dag i bjergene.

Overall, our party felt that it was only OK, for such a long drive. We have to say however that the Baatara Waterfalls were really worth it. You must take the time to go down next to the gorge into which the water falls to appreciate the beauty. As for the Akoura lake, we were not able to go very high because of snow on the road, therefore we probably missed out on the view of the many artificial lakes. The time spent in Batroun was mainly to have lunch. We went to the Phoenician wall and walked a few minutes. Our driver was very friendly. However, based on the tour description and inclusions listed, we were under the impression that a professional guide was included. The driver did not provide much information along the way, or while walking across a historical town such as Batroun. He mainly drove us to the locations.

I can highly recommend the experience and Alfred, our guide, was friendly and very knowledgeable. The view of the lakes was amazing from the mountain top. We could also see a herd of sheep being watered. We then went on to the waterfall, I recommend good shoes the stone can be slippery. Finally we went to Batroun. We had great lemonade, saw beautiful sights and learned about the history of the city and Lebanon.

Our tour was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Ahmed was incredibly sweet, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Beautiful day trip to Tanourine and the amazing Belou3 bal3a. The ride to Akoura mountains was so refreshing and absolutely breathtaking. The scenery was out of this world.
