Hoi An Lantern Making Class er en praktisk kulturel oplevelse, hvor rejsende kan skabe en traditionel vietnamesisk lantern i hjertet af Hoi An. Guidet af en lokal instruktør, gæsterne får en kort introduktion til historien og betydningen af Hoi An lanterner, og følg derefter trin for trin instruktioner til at fuldføre en foldbar silke lantern. Denne aktivitet er ideel til kulturelskere og rejsende interesseret i lokale oplevelser, såvel som kreative gæster, der nyder håndværk. It was great fun. The teacher was very helpful with very good english. Heaps of colours and patterns to choose from, and different shaped lanterns. I would recommend it as a great experience. Although you could do it in an hour not the two it advertised. But there was only two of us, .aybe a large group would take longer. A fun activity for all ages. Easy to find by the market.

This was such a lovely workshop. You were able to select a small 20cm lantern in a variety of shapes, chose your own fabric and select your own tassel. The ladies helped to stretch the fabric to the correct tightness and showed us how to open and fold it. They were very kind and had a great range of fabric to chose from.

Making the lantern was such a lovely experience! With the help of the incredibly kind lady, it was easier than I expected. She was one of the warmest people I’ve met in Vietnam. She even made sure I’d find my way back to my hotel—so considerate of her! 😊
