Din tour starter i New Zealands største by. Når vi kører ud af byen, vil din guide ikke kun sætte scene for dit eventyr i dag, men også påpege og guide dig forbi nogle af byens største højdepunkter.

Når du ankommer til den første særlige attraktion 'Hobbiton' kommer du ombord på en af de store grønne Hobbiton busser og afgår på en to og en halv time fuldt guidet tur af denne fantastiske 12 acre film sæt med en professionel Hobbiton guide for at sikre dig at få mest muligt ud af dit besøg. Under din tur ind i de frodige græsmarker i Shire, besøge 44 hobbit huller, se fantastiske haver, høre hemmeligheder og historier om fremstillingen af film og nyde en kold gratis drik på den berømte Hobbiton pub 'The Green Dragon Inn'.
Denne fantastiske sø er hjemsted for en af New Zealands første hydrodamme, og hvor nogle af New Zealands store roere kommer fra. Med udsigtspunkter, der har en fantastisk udsigt over søen og landskabet, mener vi det er et godt sted for en hurtig pause og nogle fotos.

Når du ankommer til vores anden featureattraktion, vil du blive guidet gennem de ældgamle og fantastiske huler, hvor du ser mange forskellige huleformationer, inklusive stalaktitter, stalagmitter og kalksøjler, før du går endnu længere ned under jorden for din Glowworm-oplevelse. Gå ombord på din glødormebåd til et krydstogt på grottefloden med tusindvis af glødorme funklende over dig. Waitomo Glowworm Caves er unikke for New Zealand i over 120 år og er et must for enhver rejsende.
Desværre efter Waitomo må vi begynde at tage nordpå igen, men din dag er ikke slut med en fuldt guidet returrejse til Auckland inklusive hemmelige stop undervejs.

Had a great time, no issues whatsoever. Vicky explained things well and gave a comprehensive and entertaining background on Hobbiton, Auckland, some New Zealand and Maori history and played great music in the van. Also had a fun surprise stopver for ice cream on the way back to Auckland. Will definitely recommend her to others.
Could not have asked for a better experience! From pick up till drop off, the experience was very comfortable and enjoyable! Grant was an amazing tour guide and shared so much insight and history about Auckland and Aotearoa - made the long scenic drives more immersive! He also drove so smoothly, we all got to nap a bit in a midst of all the excitement. The short stops for incredible coffee and delicious (affordable ++) ice cream at the beginning and end of the trip were great additions to the tour! Being in a small group and not having to worry about picking up the tickets or finding where to go or booking lunch - just relaxing and enjoying the experience - made this tour super worth it!

Just finished my Hobbiton and Waitoo caves day tour couple hours ago. Simon our driver are fantastic. He was very friendly and warm personality as well. Pick up process no hassle at all. Very proffesional in doing his job and he personalized with his friendly attitude. Very recommended.

Our family had a great experience with Cheeky Kiwi tours. Our host “Grant” or you can call him “Graunt”. Very early pickup as it was a 2 hour trip to Hobbiton. Weather in June is really up in the air. Grant was very knowledgeable of the region and history. Pointing out areas of interest to past the time. Arriving at Hobbiton, Grant provided us the details of our ticket and that the tour is over seen and guided by the staff at Hobbiton and would be transferred to their bus and returned back. The Tour itself was wonderful! Our guide in Hobbiton (Tom) was great! Giving us some great trivia facts and movie references that was used while filming. Weather could not have been better. The cool overcast made the walk around Hobbiton very comfortable. During our time wandering Hobbiton. Grant was getting our lunch order ready that was selected during the drive. We stopped at “The Thirsty Weta” in Ōtorohanga. Lunch portion were very generous. Next stop was the Waitomo caves to see the glow worms. This was a shorter visit than Hobbiton. The caves were very impressive and well maintained to keep the environment stable. One very important note: NOT PICTURES ALLOWED. Don’t even try to sneak a shot in. This area has more cameras than Times Square. Also, for cultural reason that the Mãori believe that you will be taking their ancestors spirit from the area, or that the worms would not glow for the next group after you scared them. Take your pick either way it’s all about respect of the area and not entitlement that you want them on you social influence post. The drive back was late due to traffic and nothing that Grant could do about this.
