Når du ankommer til den første særlige attraktion 'Hobbiton' kommer du ombord på en af de store grønne Hobbiton busser og afgår på en to og en halv time fuldt guidet tur af denne fantastiske 12 acre film sæt med en professionel Hobbiton guide for at sikre dig at få mest muligt ud af dit besøg. Under din tur ind i de frodige græsmarker i Shire, besøge 44 hobbit huller, se fantastiske haver, høre hemmeligheder og historier om fremstillingen af film og nyde en kold gratis drik på den berømte Hobbiton pub 'The Green Dragon Inn'.

Når du ankommer til vores anden featureattraktion, vil du blive guidet gennem de ældgamle og fantastiske huler, hvor du ser mange forskellige huleformationer, inklusive stalaktitter, stalagmitter og kalksøjler, før du går endnu længere ned under jorden for din Glowworm-oplevelse. Gå ombord på din glødormebåd til et krydstogt på grottefloden med tusindvis af glødorme funklende over dig. Waitomo Glowworm Caves er unikke for New Zealand i over 120 år og er et must for enhver rejsende.
Desværre efter Waitomo må vi begynde at tage nordpå igen, men din dag er ikke slut med en fuldt guidet returrejse til Auckland inklusive hemmelige stop undervejs.

It's worth to choose this tour!
Loved it! The tour is a long day but absolutely worth it. This tour specifically includes a lunch stop, and all the breaks included places to grab a bite. The drive down to Hobbiton is gorgeous and we got snippets of New Zealand history as we went. Hobbiton itself was incredible, and getting to see the glowworm caves. Our guide Sam was fantastic. My wife gets motion sickness and when she started to feel a bit queasy during the more windy part of the driving, he stopped as soon as possible to get some air, lent us some acupressure wristbands, and did everything he could to make sure she was comfortable. The tour is fantastic option to get some more info, avoid having to drive on unfamiliar roads (and the “wrong” side for some of us), and a great value for the price. We really enjoyed the stop for lunch as well. The Hobbiton experience is a super well-oiled machine that allows you to experience the space at a leisurely pace where you don’t feel rushed but still get to see a lot. The Waitomo glowworm caves are a shorter tour but stunning. Compared to the bat caves tour near Austin, Texas it was definitely a smaller space but it was beautiful and the glowworms are awe-inspiring.
Both destinations on this trip were really unique and worthwhile. For a Lord of the Rings fan, Hobbiton is special. And the Waitomo cave is unique. Our guide was welcoming and engaging and the time in the car passed quickly. Plus the lunch was and snack stops were excellent. All around, this was an excellent small group tour.
Both locations were wonderful and I am so glad I booked this. I was only in NZ for two nights, and doing this on the one full day I had was totally worth it. You will be traveling in a small bus, and you will want something to do while being driven between locations. Maybe a battery pack too. The driver made sure we had water, and stopped for coffee soon into the trip.
An overall very pleasant tour. Hobbiton was engaging and beautiful, and the Waitomo glow worm caves were remarkable and serene. Both are must-sees if you’re visiting Auckland. Matt was patient, funny, and an excellent driver. Will definitely recommend Cheeky Kiwi Tours in the future for any family and friends who visit New Zealand.

From the moment we booked, everything was exceptionally well organized. Communication was prompt, pick-up was exactly on time, and the entire day ran smoothly. Our guide and driver, Geoff, truly made the experience outstanding. He has an incredible knowledge of New Zealand's history, culture, and the areas we visited, and he shared fascinating stories throughout the day. He also used a headset while driving, so everyone in the van could clearly hear his commentary—a small detail that made a huge difference. He has a wonderful sense of humor and created a fun, relaxed atmosphere. He welcomed questions, happily answered them, and even sent links to many of the places and topics he discussed so we could learn more after the tour. He also took photos for guests along the way, making sure everyone came away with wonderful memories. One moment that really stood out was his kindness toward a guest from Chile who was having difficulty understanding English. Geoff helped her download a translation app that converted his commentary into Spanish in real time, allowing her to fully enjoy the tour. That level of care and inclusiveness says a great deal about the kind of guide he is and the company. The van was spotless, the ride was comfortable, and the included lunch at the restaurant was exceptional. We also enjoyed meeting fellow travelers from around the world, which made the day even more memorable. If you're considering a tour with Cheeky Kiwi, don't hesitate. We had a fantastic experience and will absolutely book with them again when we return to New Zealand in November. Thank you, Geoff, for making it such a memorable day!
Hobbiton is like a mini Disneyland. Waitomo glow worm is one of a kind. Truly amazing. Highly recommended

Had a great time, no issues whatsoever. Vicky explained things well and gave a comprehensive and entertaining background on Hobbiton, Auckland, some New Zealand and Maori history and played great music in the van. Also had a fun surprise stopver for ice cream on the way back to Auckland. Will definitely recommend her to others.
