we paid 1500 usd for a van to drive five of us to Hobbiton. We paid separately for the Hobbiton tickets. It was a 2 hour drive there and 2 hours back. The 1500 literally was only for a van and driver. There was not touring or showing us anything on the way and no lunch. It is literally a huge waste of money. Rent a van for a day yourself and book the tickets on line. You will save 1300 USD!
Hello Maria, Thanks for your feedback, however the same is quite unfair. The tour as provided, is as what you booked, and the pricing is what was paid to Viator, through whom you booked. It's really amazing, you feel what it's like to be a Hobbit, Everything is alive. Very happy to have launched the new section that opened in December 2023
Our group of 10 was totally unhappy and unsatisfied with the service, it was so bad and frustrating that service was never received and we walked away from the service provider right on the spot. Service provider asked for an additional $200 fee, and refused to provide service unless money was paid upfront on the spot. No room for discussion, and terrible customer service. We recommend Viator not to subcontract to this local Legend Tour company, as it will bear a bad reputation to Viator.

Your communication with us has been sent to Viator, and your whole experience was not great because of your own fault starting from not following your pick up point and all that went on. Loved Hobbiton. Our driver was very nice and made sure everything went as planned. Also went to see some amazing falls on the return trip.
Hobbiton Was a great experience we loved every moment of it. I highly recommend it! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because our local driver was not aware that the drive included the Hunua Ranges National park. He was super nice and it wasn’t his fault. Instead he did drive to One tree hill to make up for it. He normally drove people to the airport, he was very friendly but did not know the history or trivia about the areas to share with us like we normally get from a private tour guide
It was only a too expensive transportation to Hobbieton! I did not realized that! Better to get Uber or other type of transportation to the place!! It even did not include the entry tickets!! Too expensive for just the ride!!! But the driver was excellent!! Very punctual!!!
Hello Maritza, Thank you for your feedback and are disappointed that you did not find the driver/guide costs to your expectations. However, respectfully, you had full knowledge of the tour and its inclusions when you booked the same. Will take your feedback on board and let the management look at adding cost of tickets into the tour - there are many options at Hobbiton, and would become impractical to add all of them, as each client and their needs are different.
Wonderful day trip to the glow worms and the Hobbit farm Driver was the best and took great care of us Long day but worth the expense of a private car
Hobbiton is beautiful and the attention to detail was amazing. The behind the scenes stories were fun. Our tour had people who had never seen any of the movies or read any of the books, they could hardly wait to do so. Our driver was not at ease in busy traffic, but knew the area and relayed local stories.
