Historien om Tipu Sultan er en immersiv vandretur i Bangalore. Vi besøger Bangalore Fort. Bygget i 1537 af Kempe Gowda, grundlæggeren af Bangalore som et mudderfort, blev det forstærket med sten af Tipus far Hyder Ali i 1761. Vi vil tale om, hvordan fortet spillede en rolle i Anglo Mysore-krigene mellem Tipu og de britiske styrker ledet af den legendariske Lord Cornwallis. This tour was definitely worthwhile. KR market is a vibrant and bustling place, even more so for me since I took the tour on a Sunday which as I've been told is significantly more crowded than other days. I will admit, it might not be a type of crowd for everyone. I also enjoyed how Vignesh was able to share a glimpse of Tipu Sultan's life in a way that even a foreigner can easily appreciate. My guide's knowledge of the local history was fascinating, and the stops along the way felt designed to build up on the story of Tipu Sultan's life. Overall the tour was great.
Vignesh was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and provided in-depth answers to all of our questions.
This is a great walking tour. You get to see a lot of cool sites in a short amount of time. I was able to fit this in before I went to the airport to fly home.
A great tour suffused with history. The market was wonderful, and I wished I could wander it for hours.
Prashant, the guide, was knowledgeable and very passionate about Hindu mythology and Indian culture and history. I personally found the mythology and culture especially interesting. Pick up and drop off went very smoothly and safely. I would definitely recommend this tour.
We were picked up from metro station of chikpet and we walked to few fantastic monuments of Tipu Sultan who is pupularly known in India as Tiger of Mysore. We visited his Summer Palace which was made of wood and had beautiful mirror work. We alps saw a very well maintained Fort and armoury where Tipu kept his rockets and other ammunition for this wars with Britain. We also saw a serene temple of Lord Vishnu. Our gudie was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended
