Excellent day trip. You don’t have as much time as you think so I would recommend a quick lunch option. There was a pizza slice place in the city market that was very popular but we did not eat there
It was very hot sitting next to someone on the trolley. I recommend not going when the temp is in the 90s. Other than temp it was a great experience!
We took several boat rides this trip around Hilton Head/Daufuski/Savannah and this was one of them. This was an inside boatride for the most part and the A/C was not working up to capacity and it was a very hot ride to Savannah and a hot ride back. (June trip) As long as you are ok with this, you'll love this excursion. We had time to eat in Savannah and have a pretty extensive shopping trip. If we did this again, we would add the trolly tour.
The crew was wonderful and very informative. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to spend a few hours in Savannah GA while vacationing Hilton Head.
This was a nice way to get to Savannah, but we were disappointed in the boat. The air conditioning barely worked, the toilet in the bathroom was stopped up and smelled horrible, and the noise and vibration of the engine was so intense you could barely hear the person talking next to you. We had planned on a special sunset dinner cruise later in the week on the same boat, but canceled that reservation after this experience!
Excellent experience. We had a storm hit on the way back and I couldn't be more impressed at the way the captain handled the situation. She was wonderful and they are very lucky to have her.
The all female crew was amazing. The Captain was very informative while navigating and announcing things we should see while underway. The dock in Savannah was partial blocked but the girls handled the situation well and got us tied up safely. The return trip was met with a heavy thunderstorm as we docked but once again the Captain and crew handled the extreme weather like pros. The family really enjoyed the choice of air conditioned lower deck of fresh air up top. Refreshments and snacks were also an added bonus. All in all it was a relaxing boat ride with plenty of time to stroll around Savannah. Highly recommend.
Nice,loved the walk out to the beach padding so easy to walk on the sand. Workers were friendly . It was a great week
Perfect, relaxing day trip to Savannah! The crew were very helpful and friendly. If you want a seat on the upper deck be sure to arrive early.
A fun way to not get back in the car and drive. I recommend skipping the trolley tour if you are able to walk around easily. We used the trolley once to get to a Forsyth park and we walked the rest of the way. Look up the trolley maps and stops see what you want to get to before hand :) This tour allowed my family a chance to see enough of Savannah to decide if we would would like to travel to that area in the future.
