Beskrivelse

It was truly a very pleasant experience, absolutely a must-do! Despite the August heat, it must have been luck, but we were super comfortable, without suffering much from the heat. The route is pleasant and varied, not too tiring. Everything was made more pleasant thanks to the guide Israel, professional and very friendly, who was always available to answer every question and satisfy every single curiosity. Also worth mentioning is the driver Nakanichi, who accompanied us on this excursion, always kind and helpful.
Accompanied by Israel, our friendly guide, and Nakanishi, our driver, we traveled the famous historic Nakasendo trail starting from Tsumago to Magome, a very bucolic hike with a perfect historical explanation.
Excellent tour of Japan's historic roads! We have gained a great deal of new and educational information thanks to our guide Amir. Unequivocally recommend this tour to those who like to discover countries through a deep dive into their history and culture. Special thanks to our driver Iwasaki-san for a comfortable and safe ride. It was particularly gratifying to know that about halfway down the road he would be waiting for us with cool water. On a hot summer's day, despite the shade of trees along the route, it turned out to be a good thing! And when the real downpour began at the very end of our journey, on the way to Nagoya, Iwasaki-san calmly and safely brought us to our place. Along the way, we saw and learned a lot — not only about the events of the Tokugawa shogunate and the history of Japan's ancient roads, but also about the history of Nagoya, local traditions and cuisine. A beautiful summer day ended with stunning panoramic mountain views - the perfect ending to a rich, educational and very memorable trip!

It was great to get out of the big cities and see a different part of Japan. The history of the route was so interesting and our guide Mir was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He pointed out lots of interesting things along the way. He was considerate and did everything he could to make our trip memorable. The posts were interesting and really enjoyed the tea house at the half way point for an authentic experience. Highly recommend this for a day out. We did it from Kyoto (Shinkansen to Nagoya) which was fine.
