Dette er en heldags guidet tur til Hierve el Agua, Teotitlan, Yagul & Tree of Tule, inklusive en lækker frokost. Hierve el Agua er et fantastisk naturfænomen beliggende i bjergene uden for Oaxacas centrale dale. Et forstenet vandfald med en spektakulær udsigt over Sierra, det unikke ved dette sted vil blæse dig væk. Hierve el Agua er et fantastisk naturfænomen beliggende i bjergene uden for Oaxacas centrale dale. Efter at være kommet tilbage ned af bjerget tager vi mod Yagul arkæologiske område. En sjælden juvel, der ser meget få besøgende, Yagul er fuld af vilde kaktus- og agaveplanter, der vokser blandt og på Zapotec-ruinerne. Stedet har en fascinerende historie og er utrolig atmosfærisk, og har været med i mange bøger og film gennem mexicansk historie.
I nærheden ligger Teotitlan del Valle, en by berømt for sin tradition for zapotec-vævere, hvis design og stilarter er blevet verdensberømte. Vi vil besøge en husstand, der kun erhverver deres uld fra deres egne husdyr og giver os en komplet rundvisning i deres produktionsmetoder fra start til slut. Dette er en vidunderlig forfriskende og interaktiv oplevelse, hvor vi får en forståelse for arbejdet og symbolikken bag disse tekstiler, med en familie, der har vævet i generationer. Vores frokost er også tilberedt af familien, og vi spiser inde i deres hjem, en rigtig lækkerbisken af det traditionelle Oaxacanske køkken.
På vejen hjem til Oaxaca stopper vi ved Santa Maria del Tule, hvor et af de største og ældste træer i verden ligger. En Moctezuma Cypres, der anses for at have den bredeste stamme i verden, dette træ er et helt økosystem i sig selv, hvis størrelse er så imponerende, at det dværger kirken ved siden af. Den er omkring 1500 år gammel og er et naturvidunder og føles utroligt bare at være i dens nærvær.

Our driver Jorge was a wealth of knowledge and also from Oaxaca. He was a great storyteller and made us feel at home. Yesenia (Jessie) provided us with so much history and cultural relevance throughout our tour. She allowed us to explore each stop to our liking and answered all 1,000 questions we had. I would highly recommend taking this tour and, if you can, get Jorge and Yesenia! They were an amazing team that allowed us a beautiful day!
This tour is packed with so many amazing sites from around Oaxaca, we enjoyed them all! Loved learning about the culture and meeting with locals from the region. Really heightened our appreciation for the places we visited. Our guides were super fun, friendly, and filled with lots of interesting information. This was the absolute best thing we did in all of Mexico. We had the best day. Mizael was the best guide and Jorge was so helpful setting up the tour. We found the price perfect for the full day of activities and tours. We would do a tour with Mexico Kan tours again!

Misael was a fantastic guide, full of info and interested in chatting and answering our questions. The tour was a great way to see the sites and I would recommend it to anyone interested in an easy and enjoyable way to experience some highlights of Oaxaca. If you love nature you must visit the tule tree, it is incredible!

I booked this tour because we have a fantastic experience with this company during two trips to Tulum, but this time I was quite disappointed, especially considering the price we paid 330. The tour guide Michael was inattentive, spending most of the car ride playing on his phone, and he only answered our questions when we asked. I expected a brief intro at each stop, but did not happen. Also, when we reached the Hierve el Agua, he did not come in with us due to the legal restrictions, but he only mentioned like one sentence without further explanations when we about to get off the car, which should have been tell us earlier. On the positive side, the driver Isaac was wonderful! He was friendly, always smiling, and made sure the ac is on every time we got into the car. one tip for future travelers, if you’re thinking to buy the weaving products during the lunch stop ( which is held at a family owned weaving house), be cautious. The items are very expensive unless you’re good at bargaining. Overall, I don’t recommend this trip, especially given the price we paid compared with the service they offered.

Nice tour to Hierve el Agua with Miguel as our guide. The ride in the comfortable van was smooth all day, and the pickup was right on time. We enjoyed a breakfast stop at a local spot, which felt authentic and not touristy. The hike to Hierve el Agua with a local guide was a highlight—stunning views! We also loved the stop at the Yagul archaeological site—after visiting more popular spots like Monte Alban, it was amazing to have the place all to ourselves. Learning about the traditions of Zapotec weavers and having lunch prepared by their family in their home was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Miguel offered us mezcal throughout the day and even gifted us some complimentary pastries. What we really appreciated about the company is how it cooperates with the locals and supports the region, respecting its history, culture, and nature. Highly recommend!
